It is a small ryokan with only 5 rooms. Seems like it is family run. Very well thought out rooms which had everything we needed. All the furniture, fittings and toiletries were top notch. The lobby is very nice as well with many types of beverages and snacks. The breakfast is excellent traditional Japanese food. They took care of our dietary restrictions as well. The photos do not do justice to this place. The hospitality was excellent. It is a little on the expensive side, but everything was great and our stay was relaxing. Definitely our best stay in Japan.

Food, facilities and staff all amazing. We were a bit worried when the taxi driver was confused by the address, but when we pulled in he said 'ooo this is fancy' and he was right! The play space in the family suite was a cool addition to keep our little one busy. Nice soft beds compared to others we have stayed at.

The spacious flat is in a quiet street in a central area, within walking distance of the main tourist districts as well as the central railway station. It is spread over two floors of a semi-detached house. Everything is white, spotless and looks brand new, creating a cosy and warm ambience. The flat and the kitchen are fully equipped with everything a traveller might need - all appliances are quite new and in perfect working conditions. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would strongly recommend both the host and the flat.

The house is quite spacious. It is nicely decorated. Shower/hot tub room is big with very nice toiletries. We really like the shampoo and conditioner provided. Kitchen and laundry facilities are great. The stairs to upper level room is steep. typical old Japanese house, not much problem for us but people with knee problems should take note on this. Kenrokuen garden is walking distance but we need to walk up the hill to reach the park. We rented Noah mpv for our trip and the parking space is just nice to fit the car

Loved the hotel. Location was a little far out for us. Taxi back and forth to town was about $50 USD each way and some taxis only took cash. Hotel and staff were exceptional.

The room was beautifully furnished and really lovely, with a view of the garden. Architecturally gorgeous. Dinner and breakfasts were delicious and perfectly executed. More importantly the overall service was professional, gracious and attentive without being obtrusive. This was the most memorable point of our trip. On our next trip to Japan we will definitely check out it’s sister location in Toyama.
