After an eventful day in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, relax and unwind in the Hotel Zugspitze's spa area, where your will find an indoor swimming pool, various saunas, a hot tub, plunge pools and a fitness room. Restaurant & cuisine – The dining room delivered outstanding food, excellent table service, and mountain views that made every meal memorable. Hospitality – Staff throughout the hotel—from check‑in to housekeeping—exceeded every expectation. Breakfast experience – A wide and tasty buffet, prompt service, with hot dishes prepared on request made for an energizing start to each day. Ideal for short stopovers – I originally planned this as a two‑night rest to avoid a long drive after a flight. While I didn’t have time for the spa, its generally praised 1,000 m² wellness area shows just how full a longer stay could be. Impeccable cleanliness – I hold very high standards for hygiene; the room and public areas surpassed them entirely.

Guests can also enjoy a hot tub as well as a modern spa area with a salt sauna, a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, steam baths, an infrared cabin and several relaxation areas. The garden includes a sunbathing lawn. The hotel is perfect with it's whole organisation to feel comfortable and welcomed.

The Gladbach’s spa area includes a sauna, an infrared cabin, a steam bath, and a sun bed. There is also a fitness room. The garden features a children’s playground, barbecue facilities, and a sunbathing lawn. Amazing place! Apartment is very clean, well equipped, spacious and comfortable. There is nice and cozy spa area on the -1 floor. And the owner (manager) of the hotel is a wonderful person.

Set in Ehrwald and with Train Station Lermoos reachable within 5.5 km, Zugspitzhotel Diana Thörle offers a tour desk, allergy-free rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. 13 km from Fernpass and 23 km from Museum Aschenbrenner, the hotel provides a ski pass sales point. The hotel has a barbecue and a sauna. We had a wonderful experience at the Zugspitz Hotel Diana Thörle. It was the perfect place to stay in Ehrwald for our short hiking trip. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous — we've experienced such warm hospitality at only a few places. They arranged a lovely buffet breakfast for us, and thanks to their support, we were able to successfully complete our hike to Seebensee. They provided weather updates and helped us with planning, which made a big difference. As for the accommodation, we booked a two-room apartment with a kitchen and a balcony. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the breathtaking mountain views was a highlight of our stay. There’s a local bus service (refer to the pics attached) to and from Ehrwald town, but since it runs infrequently, it's important to plan accordingly. If we’re traveling through southern Germany or nearby Austria again, we would definitely love to return here.

Excellent food, location, clean and fantastic spa and wellness facilities

Facilities include a sauna with solarium, a big sun terrace, a playground, and a ski and bicycle storage room. Billiard, table tennis and volleyball can be played at Pension Posthansl.

Lake Heiterwang, a popular swimming lake, is a 20-minute walk away, while the Alpentherme Ehrenberg thermal bath can be reached in a 10-minute drive. You can find the Burgenwelt Ehrenberg with a museum in 5 minutes by car, and the rafting can be arranged in Bichlbach, 5 km away. Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious.
