Set in Millinge, 26 km from Carl Nielsen's Childhood Home, Falsled Kro offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We travelled to Denmark, and made a trip in two parts. The first part was an exploration of Funen, with Falsled Kro as our basis. But Falsled Kro was a jewel to discover by itself. We can say a lot, or we can say nothing and rest in wonder. This is a magical place, with lovely and very helpful people, who immediately made you feel at home. And the cuisine, morning or evening, was above expectations. 11/10, and we'll be back someday :).

The on-site spa offers a sauna, hot tubs and a rain shower area. A cold water basin, relax lounge and foot baths are also featured. Everything went well. We were satisfied with our rooms. We had dinner at the bistro which was superb! The waterfront location of this hotel is amazing for relaxed walks with our dog. Breakfast was solid but there could have been a wider variety.

Take time out for a sauna or steam bath before sampling the gourmet food in Hesselet's own restaurant. Hotel Hesselet is a beautiful building on a prime site with fantastic views of the sea. It is full of traditional comforts and takes care of its guests.

The whole garden was ours and it was super private. It was not a long walk to the little house with the bathroom/kitchen, and it was very well equipped.

Scandinavian décor with light wooden furnishings is featured in each guest room at Hotel Assens. All have cable TV, a work desk and private bathroom. Some are located in the property’s annex and offer views of the harbour. Location was fabulous. We asked to change to a room with a view and were moved to one without problem. The breakfast was great - wide variety of pastries, cereals, cold and hot foods and crispy bacon!
