But here, we’re talking about something truly exceptional. Our best and most moving meal in Japan was served at this small mountain hotel — cooked by the grandfather himself, a chef who spends his entire day in the kitchen, cooking with devotion and tradition. I fell in love with him — a man of love, wisdom, and dedication, offering his guests only the very best. We also enjoyed a dinner featuring his signature beef dish, accompanied by clam miso soup. The place is very close to the famous hot springs, but if you want to touch the soul of Japan — this is it.
