This guesthouse is located along one of the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes and Yunomine Hot Spring, said to be one of the oldest hot springs baths in Japan, is a 5-minute walk from the property.

There are 2 indoor hot springs baths and an open-air bath at the property. I stayed in the shared rooms. I had plenty of privacy as each bed was in a walled-off cubby hole. The three Onsen on site were excellent and the bus stop was a couple of minutes walk away. It’s situated right along the Kumano Kodo route and perfect for a day or two hiking.

The en suite bathroom is fitted with a bathtub and free toiletries. Gorgeous hotel and room. A little higher grade than I normally reserve, but I believe we went during their off season and their prices were extremely reasonable for the stay, so I couldn't pass it up. Impeccably clean, very large, comfortable room, polite and helpful staff. River view room was wonderful to watch the sunsets from. Easily the nicest shower I've ever seen, hotel or otherwise. No real complaints. It was the farthest accomodation to walk to the closest train station we had during out trip, but even that was a pretty walk across the bridge, only maybe about 15 minutes.

Rooms feature tatami-mat flooring, comfortable futon bedding and paper sliding screens. They are fitted with an LCD TV and a safe. Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. Lovely room, great location, nice to be able to enjoy on site meditation, as well as prayer ceremony and fire ritual.

The breakfast place was cozy and offered a glimpse into the morning lives of local folks.

Perfect for unwinding after busy days of sightseeing and crowds. The bath does wonders for tired legs from walking. The room is stocked with an assortment of free drinks and traditional snacks are provided in the lobby. The location is great, only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station and close to other public transport. We walked to most of the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and everyone spoke very good English so it was easy to communicate. Our breakfast was cooked with care each morning, making it a great start of each day. We would definitely come back!
