Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to, and the inn made for a great stay. Also the sentō baths were a welcome addition and were nice for relaxing into! The area is calm (for which the only downside is that there isn't a lot of choice for restaurants around), close to transportation and good for sightseeing around Mastushima — we took the sightseeing ferry around the bay and had a great time.

Open from August 2017, Almont Hotel Sendai is nestled just a 5-minute stroll away from JR Sendai Station. The hotel features free WiFi, a restaurant and private parking is offered on site. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was awesome for being able to try so many regional specialties.

Open from April 2016, Hotel Vista Sendai is located just a 4-minute walk from JR Sendai Station. It boasts an on-site restaurant and rooms with modern decor. The location is perfect, really close to the station, restaurants, konbini and stores. The access is easy too, escalator and elevator provided. I also want to point out the bathroom and the toilet. They are separated, saving time and peace for your business. The tub is bigger than other hotels I am staying. The double bed is quite spacious too for 3. The hospitality is good, a small amenities bag for kids.

We had a great time staying there. Steve was vey accommodating. It felt like staying at a friends. My family and felt very comfortable and had a lot of fun. A beautiful and quiet location along the river. Perfect for a bbq and playing in the river. A vey unique and interesting old building. Definitely would like stay again.

This is the perfect onsen town to be in if you are near Sendai. We had a great stay in the Japanese western room with a private bath. It was amazing! We had a great view of the river and the bath was so relaxing. I love that we had the choice of sleeping on a western bed or laying out the Japanese mattress. We had the full board option which inlcudes dinner and breakfast. Both meals were scrumptious. They had a set menu and explained each course (they even tried to explain it in their best English). We so highly appreciated their efforts. There is a bar with a free welcome drink, and some very unique drinks to try. Highly recommend this place if you want to experience the traditional onsen with more privacy. Also this little onsen town is the cutest! They have a short trail along the streams which is very accessible and more of a leisurely walk. There are some cute cafes in the neighborhood. Definitely recommend checking this area out. If you are here in Spring there are some beautiful cherry blossom spots. Another pro is that there is an express bus near Sendai station to this area. It's about a 40 minute ride.
