Historical Ryokan Hostel K's House Ito Onsen is gevestigd in een 100 jaar oud, historisch monument in Shizuoka en ligt op 7 minuten lopen van het JR treinstation van Ito. Love this Ryokan. My second stay. Love the room that opens out to a small Japanese garden onto the river. Onsen on the property is so lovely. The lovely European girl who checked us in was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. She stood out amongst the rest who were average. A beautiful stay in a very quiet desolate town. My favorite hostel due to its exceptional cleanliness and amenities.

From being picked up from the Station, until we departed this was an exceptional place to stay. An full apartment sized room, a soak in one of the two hot springs, two western-style breakfasts, our favorite hotel on a 15 hotel tour of japan. Front of house and chef were both great.

We have never experienced this kind of luxury in our lives….. this place and environment totally blew our minds! We had te luxury to stay in the villa, and exceeded all our expectations. The views, the pool, the sauna, the hotspring tub, the fireplace, the BBQ… it was more than enough to really end our holiday totally relaxed! We were supposed to go to Tokyo the last 3 days of our holiday, but we where glad that we canceled that, and went to Shikuoka instead! The falls and wasabi fields and hikes nearby were great excursions, and then come back to the villa was a real dream! Also there were no other guests, so we had the whole place for ourselves…. 海好きな大人の隠れ家下田ハウス ligt in Shimoda, op 39 km van Koibito Misaki (Kaap van de Geliefden), en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. It was such a nice and relaxing place to be. I stayed there during tsunami warning so I spent almost my whole two days there. The Onsen near the guesthouse is marvellous, and we did a sauna session at one evening as well. We've had dinner together and on the first evening he offered us sashimi, because he's been out fishing and caught a nice one. Loved to practise my japanese skills - thank you for everything!

ペンション ラリー is gelegen in Kawazu, op 35 km van Shuzenji tempel en 44 km van Mount Daruma, en biedt accommodatie met een tennisbaan, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en gratis privéparkeren. What a gem! We arrived at Kawazu station and Kenji (?) was there to meet us. When we arrived at the property he took our bags up for us and explained all we needed to know. I think we had an upgrade because the room seemed bigger than the one I booked. The room hadn’t been made up yet as we arrived well before check in. We decided to go and do the 7 waterfalls walk and our host was so kind to drive us there. He explained how to get back on the bus and how much it would be. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We ended the afternoon by using the hot tub which was great. Bathroom and toilets were spotless. Outside the rooms there is boiling water, coffee making facilities, microwave and a wee stove and sink. There is also a sink for washing your face and cleaning your teeth. Be aware there is nowhere to eat close to the hotel. We were aware of this and brought food in with us. We found a tiny basic bakery just down the road and we bought a couple of flapjack type things for breakfast. This property is such good value and our host was kind and friendly. We have been in Japan for a month and this is one of our best stays. Loved it and would certainly recommend. Excellent value.

The ryokan is exactly what you want from an authentic Japanese ryokan experience. You are welcomed by the staff and provided a welcome drink. Then you get a tour of the property and your room. The property has all the needed facilities: public and private onsens, massage chairs, coffee/tea/water. The breakfast and diner are 10/10 quality and fresh, we were completely satisfied after. As for a day activity: panorama terrace going with a cable cart to the top of a mountain to view mount fuji: 10/10. Walking distance from the property. The town doesn’t provide much else to do. Room was cleaned daily and the futon beds are made for you.

J-Garden ligt in Ito, op 29 km van Shuzenji tempel en 43 km van Mount Daruma, en biedt accommodatie met een terras en gratis privéparkeren. Everything was amazing. The place was cozy, the lady who runs it is so kind and helpful. The rooms show a lot of attention to detail and convenience.
