This is a wonderful place to stay; fantastic if you are on a budget and understand the facilities are basic. There is electricity, warm water and a comfortable bed...in a fabulous location with fabulous hosts. You will see an array of wildlife (porcupine, bats, crocs, elephants and exotic birds). Danoushka and Anousha were warm, welcoming and kind. We loved our stay here and felt part of nature. Anousha cooks delicious Sri Lankan food and Danoushka is knowledgeable about the local area; We went on a tuk tuk drive with him to see various temples and sites of historic importance - a highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. My husband also did an early morning bird spotting safari on the back of a motor bike which enabled him to take some close shots of the abundant bird life. Jungle cabin gave us the experience of "real" Sri Lanka and, as a middle aged couple, it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with the hosts and enjoy their home. We would not hesitate to recommend this as a rustic place to stay...make the most of Danoushka's local and wildlife knowledge and...enjoy the tranquility.

The host and all the staff members are extremely helpful. We arrived around lunch time and via Whatsapp we coordinated our lunch order, so we we arrived, we could immediately enjoy the lovely lunch. The rooms are extremely large, which is ideal for a family. We enjoyed sunny weather, but even when it rains, you feel super comfy and cozy in the villa. The kids loved the outing to the beach and the garden area. We had a lovely long weekend!

Such a nice, green and calm place. It’s not so far from the yala national park entry. The host was really nice and we got really good breakfast and dinner. The pool is a plus after a long and sweaty safari day

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location faced to beautiful paddy field. Top tip : Hotel owner Mrs.Dilhani arranged our Safari and made us delicious breakfast packed in a containers to carry with us while on safari.We had an absolutely brilliant day and I would love to recommend White House Inn - Thissamaharama to other travellers. The size of the tent room was great. Absolutely loved being able to go for a dip in the pool after a hot day. Highly recommend the bbq dinner as this was yet another highlight of our stay.

Staying here felt like luxury for us, everything seems to be brand new and with a clean and modern furniture. Room was huge, and we didn't expect to have a bath with nice hot water. The place is very peaceful surrounded by the forest, and just 15 minutes from kataragama temple complex, which is a must see during sunset time.. I really would have spent a week just here!
