Heating was adequate as we arrived at the start of winter. It's easy to retrieve the keys to open the gate and door of the property. Do note that you'll need to climb the stairs entrance is on the second floor.

The pool, tennis courts and offering of kayaks and equipment was very kind of the host to offer. The grocery stores and restaurants were close, a short drive for us. The unit was very modern and clean and much larger than expected. Whitianga is a very beautiful relaxing town and this unit was in a great location.

We felt very at home and the walk with Mia (the super pleasant dog) through the woods was good fun.

Amazing Kiwi Lodge provides a range of facilities such as a spa and wellness centre including a hot tub. A lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a great hostess Clare. She showed us where to go, loaned us spades for Hot Water Beach and was incredibly welcoming. The hot tub and pool were an absolute bonus and we were even provided with beach towels and robes. We also appreciated the fruit, milk and cereal that were left for us. A 10 out of 10 stay for us.
