Very nice location for our room, stored towards the rear of the hotel with a nice view out of the window. The breakfast was very pleasant, on the first day we had the pancake breakfast alongside the provided fare and greatly enjoyed it - on the second day we had simply the provided breakfast and also enjoyed that.

The Three Sisters

According to Aboriginal legend, these iconic rocks were formed when three sisters were turned to stone by a witch doctor while awaiting their forbidden lovers. Whether or not the legend is true, you can marvel at their impressive beauty from Echo Point Lookout. For a close-up, follow the 'Giant Staircase' down to Katoomba Falls – you can skip the return hike by hopping on the Scenic Railway!

Get to echo point for sunset and you can see the shadow cast...

Get to echo point for sunset and you can see the shadow cast across the three sisters. Or you can walk out to the lookout point and see it from the other direction. Both as beautiful. Be mindful it can get cold the minute the sun dips out of sight, even on a summers day the wind can pick up. Also enjoy the restaurant with a local drink and great food with a view. Very friendly staff

The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental with cereal and toast and urns for tea or a cafetière for coffee. Fruit was also available. The car park was under the hotel so there was little distance for carrying baggage. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the three Sisters so it was easy to go visit and enter the bush.

This lodge was beautiful and was one of my favourite places in Australia. The garden is lovely and is full of wildlife and birds, we even had a possum come up to the door one night and a black cockatoo popping in for a visit. The open fire is a great feature, especially as it was winter when we were there. Firewood was hard to find as it was winter and sold out in a lot of places, but we found some eventually at the petrol station. Very close to the three sisters and Scenic World railway.

The hotel is c;lose to the Three Sisters though we did not see signage at the Hotel telling you which way to get to them. It is quiet and clean. Good storage space in the suite. It is quite spacious. Foyer is quite nice as are the sitting and restaurant area.

This was an amazing place to stay. Dalias Retreat is one of only a handful of houses positioned near the Three Sisters overlooking the escarpment. The view, the garden and the facilities were fantastic. We also arranged a massage and astrology reading through Dalia, who came to us and which were both easy to arrange and excellent. The apartment had a large bedroom (comfy large bed), kitchenette with microwave, wir, bathroom with shower, and lounge.

The hotel was within walking distance of Echo Point, the Katoomba Cascades & Falls, Scenic World, the Three Sisters and the station. It was a traditional hotel and there were very comfortable public seating areas. The breakfast included was buffet style although there was a full menu available for an extra charge.

A great location - 5 minute walk from the train, and main street of Katoomba. It was also easy to walk to Echo Point & The Three Sisters trails, and Leura, but local buses also get you around easy enough. The staff were lovely, and really helpful. I ate in the bar one night, cocktails were excellent but the food wasn't great, but the breakfast was lovely. The room was very nice and comfortable. Great views of the Jamison Valley from hotel lobby, dining room and some rooms - pay for the views from your room!

The hotel was right by the train station which was great for us without a car. We were able to walk to the three sisters in about 25/30 mins & explored Laura and Lawson by train. The hotel is near nice restaurants like Rustico & mountain culture brewery. We also enjoyed using the pool table. Staff were always friendly & by the end of our stay the hotel had definitely grown on us.

Bats fly around the floodlights shining on the Three Sisters...

Bats fly around the floodlights shining on the Three Sisters in the evening, and before the tourists arrive there are birds to be found in the forest. If this is your thing, then from about 10am - 6pm you get to see a plethora of bus driven tour groups in their natural habitat as well - early morning and late evening are Much Better.
