I got a free room upgrade, I guess. Then, I got stuck in a disabled elevator on my way to the restaurant. It seems that not many disabled people use that elevator. However, the staff handled the situation professionally and managed to get it working again. As a gesture of goodwill, they offered me a complimentary fruit plate. For me, it was quite amusing, although I can imagine it wasn't as enjoyable for the staff.

So this was a birthday present for my sister-in-law, and wow did the Intercontinental do an amazing job. Thanks so much for going above and beyond by placing a nice birthday treat in there for her. She kept messaging us with how wonderful her two day weekend stay was. I didn't ask for this, but they placed a nice dessert and thank you note in the room when she arrived. I got about 1,000 pictures of the view from the room. She absolutely loved everything about the hotel. She loved the bed and kept saying how nice the pillows were. She loved the breakfast and the bathroom and the housecleaning staff. I live one metro stop away from the hotel, but it made me jealous and want to spend a weekend there myself. If I can bring a well behaved labrador dog, I will really consider it, rofl.

Hotel gave a luxury feeling , spotless clean and the best part was the staff ,from welcoming cleaners to the super amazing receptionists made the stay there really amazing. Both receptionists were amazing , can't praise them enough. Really made us feel very welcome. They accommodated every need and more. To giving us guidance as to where to go and what to see , to even assisting us when we had to stay in the lobby for a few hours after check in and making sure we were super comfortable.

Great hotel. The room was clean, comfortable with all the services that one guest needs. Location is perfect in peaceful surroundings, but in the centre of the city. The breakfast was tasty. Great experience. I'll definitely come back.

The ancient ruins are just amazing.

The ancient ruins are just amazing. They are preserved so well and you can walk freely by them. There are information boards too in English. The main metro Serdika is nearby and there is a very good Tourist Office there as well.
