CanadaIt's probably the best staff I've ever encountered at any stay. They were always super helpful, and they went the extra mile. Honestly, they were the best part of the trip. The room was decent sized for a single room. The location is great. It borders the old and new. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

The rooms are perfect matching for my expectations in terms of ambiance, comfort, lights, materials and finishings. Well equipped bathroom, cozy designed as well as its room. Perfect location just nearby Dengshikou MTR station, really convenient, walking distance to restaurants, banks if you need and famous hutongs, high-end experiences in the neighbourhood. Amazing friendly and helpful front-desk staff, very special thanks to Kevin for his help and kind support. I have nothing to complain about. I spent a week here and I would come back again with no regrets.

Hotel was great! Comfortable bed and friendly staff, especially Barry. I felt safe staying there and I also get to drink freshly-brewed coffee!
Hotel is right in the midst of hutongs and near to shops, restaurants, the historical Drum tower and various lakes. It is also within walking distance of Shichahai metro station.

The location is perfect. We walked to all the sights - Royal Palace, Beihai park, Drum Tower etc.
There's a great supermarket 10 mins walk at Dongsi subway station.
Staff are really helpful, and the area is quiet.

The East Hotel is in the perfect location. It’s in the old part of Beijing so you get to experience the culture and tradition. It is walking distance to the Drum Tower and Houhai Bar street and so many food options available close by. Reception is 24 hours which is handy for extremely late check ins. Staff are very friendly and helpful with any inquiries and bookings … Barry especially.
Free bottles of water are available which is great particularly in the hot weather.

Tucked away in the atmospheric hutong area down an almost hidden passage thrusted me straight into a fascinating area of Beijing. Lovely staff, who communicated so well before my arrival. A boutique and fresh feel whilst retaining some older style charm. Meal options good. Even gave me pastries to take on early morning trip to Great Wall. Near landmarks like drum tower. And metro a pleasant hutong-lanes walk not far. Fruit bowl, Air-con and dehumidifier created a nice respite from outside humidity (July). Would recommend.
