The location is very good. It’s close to subway “Xisi” and John is a very good host. He is so kind and always try’s to help! He really takes care about his guests and is doing he job with a lot of passion. The Hutong gives you a first good impression about traditional way of living. It is not luxury, but you have all you need and it’s all clean.

As you walk in, you immediately get more of a hostel vibe than of a hotel. Staff are super friendly and attentive. They immediately responded when I couldn’t find the place and showed me a map from the station and also connected through WeChat for easier communication. They also have some tours that you can arrange with them, like visiting the main landmarks or going to see the opera. They also helped me to book tickets and gave me recommendations of places to visit. Rooms are spacious and generally clean. Breakfast is generous and good. Very convenient location, near the train station, just a couple of stops away from the main attractions and a nice walk away from a night market.

Perfect place for exploring Beijing, near the river park and the subway station. The staff are always helpful and welcoming. The Shadow Theatre shows in the evening are really awesome. We had never seen anything of the sort. Wonderful. Other nice workshops are organised in the lobby: puppets, calligraphy, cooking... Our teenage son (18) also stayed on his own at the hotel for one week, while getting professional sports training in town. The staff helped him order takeaway dinner and everything else too. He felt like being home. Feng and Jerry, from the staff, stayed in contact with us via WeChat to confirm that our son was always doing well. What more can you ask? Coffee and tea are free. You can even bring your own food and have your meal in the beautiful lobby. We stayed almost three weeks in total and we'll do it again if we were to return to Beijing. Highly recommended!
