Clean & comfortable renovated room. Reasonably good breakfast. Handy location. Nice view from the observation deck on 8th floor. Helpful & friendly reception staff.

The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and tidy, and I loved its looks/vibe.

This is a lovely hotel where the hosts helped us feel relaxed and at home from the start. The property is in a perfect spot to enjoy the terrain - not far from Guilin, but tucked away from the city in a quiet holiday village that has a few fantastic restaurants and beautiful walks and cycle paths all around. I stayed a whole week and would have happily stayed a month! Armed with WeChat and translation apps, we could communicate well with our very helpful host. He fed us good breakfasts, arranged a long-distance taxi when we got stuck one night in Yangshuo, and even sent me to his very good dentist when I had a toothache. I will send friends there and come back!

Everything was great! To be honest, it felt more like a homestay (in a good way) because the staff was so welcoming and helpful! Some of them only speak Chinese but Melody speaks English fluently, so I never had any issues because of the language barrier. She organized all my transfers and even told the driver to help me find my boat. I had the room on the top floor and I would definitely recommend staying there. It's a bit higher than the other buildings, so I felt comfortable leaving my panoramic windows open to enjoy the view. Btw, the room looked the same as in the pictures, so I didn't have to adjust my expectations to reality. There was a lot of natural light and I really liked the design - some traditional Chinese elements with a modern twist. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was soft (if you live in China you know why I needed to mention that). I could only have their proper breakfast once because I would leave too early, but that one time their noodles were top-notch. And on the days when I couldn't have breakfast they would always prepare something I could take with me and it was delicious, too. I especially appreciated that there were always some fruits. Lastly, I'd like to mention the massage you can get there. From what I understood it's the same price everywhere because I saw the exact same paper with all the types of massage at a different hotel. I got the oil massage and I cannot recommend it enough. Overall, the people the hotel works with are great, too.
