Almost everything: the entire complex is extremely well built, each villa with its own parking spot in the underground and elevator carrying you to the room, the transportation inside the room is done by shuttle or buggy and they come reasonably on time. The room was practically new, one of the most beautiful I’ve ever stayed on (and I’ve seen a few, believe me). The interior design is ArchDaily level, the rooms are super spacious, everything is very clean, cosy and luminous. Our view was spectacular.

The comfort of the room, our Junior Suite had even a dressing, the personal kindliness of the entire staff, the top quality of the buffet, the interior decoration of the dining room and the exterior of the hotel was astonishing, the quality of the breakfast, high sleeping comfort, location of the hotel nearby the road to Punta de Teno, extremely nice nature in the environment of the hotel, which offers a superb hiking tour.

We’re writing this review on our final day of our eight night stay at Barcelo Santiago, room 819. When we booked this stay back in January, we were keen to spend our time in a place where we can kick back and relax completely, and we’re so glad that we chose this hotel! From the moment which we arrived - which was very late in the evening, we felt completely at ease and knew we’d made the correct decision! Our room was / is immaculately presented, and has continued to be throughout the duration of our stay. The housekeeping staff on floor 8 are wonderful, kind and polite (despite the language barrier!) The only thing which we’d ask for more of is more milk in the room! We asked a few times at reception but we were only given two small sachets at a time. For people like ourselves who enjoy a cup of tea, there was never enough. We resorted to stocking up for the day and following day from the breakfast buffet! Not a huge issue, but just a forewarning for those who enjoy a cuppa! We’ve spent the majority of the last 8 days lounging around the pool - again this is immaculate, with plenty of sun loungers and parasols too. The service at the pool bar was speedy and friendly - we really appreciated the self serve slushies and water too! The pool area was nice quiet, and peaceful, and a lovely place to spend the day relaxing! As an all inclusive customer, we ate in the restaurant every morning afternoon and evening. We were both suprised at the ammount and variety of food on offer (it felt super healthy too)! For lunch and dinner, the sheer selection of fish and meat meant that there was never a meal repeated, despite some of the core elements of dinner service remaining the same. Being a big foodie, one of my fears was that the food was going to be disappointing and this was not the case.

Although the hotel complex is rather big, rooms are very quiet, clean and spacious and you have your privacy there. Really amazing breakfast and dinner buffet and friendly staff everywhere - reception desk, housekeeping ladies, restaurant. Bottle of sparkling wine prepared in the fridge as a courtesy of hotel was very nice surprise. Private parking is available for small amount per day and definitely worth it.

    The terrace of the apartment offers a real stunning view to the sea and to the Los Gigantes. The sunsets here are a real treasure. The apartment is placed in a quiet location and also in a well positioned location so that exploring the island is really easy by car. The bedroom bed is confortable and the whole apartment is cozy and nicely equipped. The terrace made most of our stay here.

    Second stay at apartment. Can’t fault in any way everything and more there for comfortable and enjoyable stay. Been coming to Los Gigantes for many years. This is my first choice for apartment to stay while there.

    Great apartment with a superbly equipped kitchen. Not ultra-modern, but still very cozy and comfortable. The highlight was the rooftop terrace with a fantastic view of the ocean, Los Gigantes — the amazing cliffs to the north — and even Mount Teide. We didn’t use the grill, but it looked great.

    The hotel is located in the very center of the town. Lidl is literally around the corner, and the Superdino store is located at the back entrance of the complex. The pool is heated and at the perfect temperature, clean and well maintained. Apartments clean 10! Perfect view of the ocean and Los Gigantes cliffs. No complaints whatsoever.

    What a beautiful, clean apartment with the best view to Los Gigantes. The surroundings were absolutely quiet with some live music from a wonderful bar/ restaurant close by. The apartment itself is perfectly equipped with everything you need. Any problem got solved straight away. We loved the location for being close to many hikes (e.g. Masca) and the beaches (Playa de las Arenas). We loved it a lot!!

    The view that greeted us in the morning when we stepped out of the apartment was amazing, we could see the rocks of Los Gigantes and the ocean. The host was nice and the apartment was clean and tidy. I recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

    The host was great. Lovely large apartment, just as described, with large balcony and view of sea and sunset. Short walk to small beach, port and coastal walk. Nearby LIDL was great for self catering and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, but resort was peaceful which was what we wanted. Loved being so near to Los Gigantes.

    The apartment is dated but clean and spacious. It had everything we needed for a holiday with a six-month old baby (washing machine, microwave etc.). It has a large balcony, and we thought it was worth paying more for the sea view. The kids pool was warm enough for our baby. The hotel is a short walk into both Los Gigantes and Puerto de Santiago. There's a beautiful, pram-friendly walk along the coast.

    The hotel was located almost next to Los Gigantes and the apartment had a perfect view from the balcony. The apartment had many facilities, a kitchen with a cooker, microwave and all the cutlery and tableware so that you could cook your own food, too. Everything was clean and tidy, the air conditioning was working perfectly. We were glad that breakfast choice was really wide and it included much food from the local cuisine which was really tasty. There was a little swimming pool, a nice little gym with enough equipment.
