We adored this property from start to finish . We were apprehensive pulling up to the gates but as we entered it completely blew us away . The decor is outstanding , the pool area beautiful, our room was possibly the nicest we’ve ever stayed in ! We just adored it . 10 mins walk to the beautiful Cours Mirabel , we have fallen in love with Provence and can’t wait to return. Ideal for a baby moon / honeymoon

Everything from start to finish was first class and out of this world! No wonder it was rated amongst the best hotels in France. Truly remarkable and magical experience! A True Gem in the Heart of Aix – A Home Away From Home We made a last-minute reservation at La Maison d’Aix, arriving late at night, and were welcomed with warmth, care, and a delightful bottle of sparkling wine with delicious treats. From the very first moment, it felt like coming home. We stayed in the Master Suite, and words can hardly do it justice. Overlooking both the charming backyard and the quiet front street, the room was beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable. The house, with just four rooms, exudes intimacy and charm—every space tells a story, elegantly decorated with impeccable taste. Breakfast was an experience in itself—prepared with love by Emma and her team. Fresh, crusty bread, creamy butter, local jam, perfectly cooked eggs... Simple, yet elevated to something truly memorable. It was honestly one of the best breakfasts we had during our two weeks in the South of France. The amenities were equally outstanding—the serene living room, the relaxing heated pool, and the hamman created a true haven. The care and passion Emma and her husband put into this place is felt in every corner. Their local recommendations made all the difference in our experience in Aix—genuine, thoughtful, and perfectly curated. We are incredibly grateful. La Maison d’Aix became the highlight of our entire trip. This place isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience, and one we’ll return to again and again. Indulge yourself at 1785. You’ll never forget it.

The Granet itself is a small, rather classical museum. but...

The Granet itself is a small, rather classical museum. but it has an annex: The Planque- Granet annex (an ancient chapel) which houses modern paintings (XIX-XX century), and is a little gem: MUST SEE. Paintings from Picasso, Braque, Van Gogh, Dubuffet, Dufy, etc. Don't miss that one.
