You can get lost in history there, scary spiral staircases leading to lofty battlements, for example, and there's also a tasteful cafe in what looks like a former Tudor hall. Only visited gardens, which were superb, even at the end of summer, into autumn season. Happy surprise to come across little booth selling coffee and snacks right in the middle. Helpful gardener in long greenhouse. Quirky shell grotto with fountain that balances a crown on top. Very close walking distance to all (Arundel Castle etc), shops, restaurants etc. The charming house itself has a high finish and is luxurious in terms of facilities/comfort, decorating style, space incl a yard with outdoor seating and cushions/parasols, two fridges etc. etc. After asking the neighbours we found out that on-street parking (a bit further on) is free.Guest review byPetraNetherlands
