Breakfast was excellent. Best place to explore centre of Frome. Everything (station, shops, bus station) is a short walking distance away. Wonderful old building with atmosphere. Excellent pub. Live music on Sunday evening in the pub.

Lovely people! We arrived late after a busy day and the kitchen was already closed but they took care of us right away and without us even asking offered to at least make us some sandwiches - in combination with the beer, perfect! We loved it! Thank you! The room was clean and cozy, breakfast was great. If we will ever be in the area, this is the place where we will be staying.

The folks here are fantastic. I needed a late taxi ride from the train station in Bruton. They gave me two numbers of drivers who could take me. Anne gave me advice on how to get to the Alfred tower and I thoroughly felt cared for. I highly recommend them!

Longleat Safari Park was a great experience.

Longleat Safari Park was a great experience. Most of the animals were out in the afternoon sunshine one we didn’t see was Annie the elephant 🐘 which was understandable when you know about her difficulties well worth a visit. 💯🦒🦍🦓🦏🦫🦨🦜

I’ve been coming to longleat for years.

I’ve been coming to longleat for years. A excellent full day out. We arrived at 10am for opening at left at 5.15pm - 45 mins before closing. It was disappointing that some things were shut, and we wasn’t aware you have to book the mazes and the kids play castle, however we still had a full day without these. The house was also shut. We would normally do longleat and the house over two days. Would recommend to anyone, any age, kids, adults and families.

Amazing location if you’re going to longleat safari park. Really easy access to and from the property, clear and helpful information sent before arrival via email. The lair was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. It was quickly warmed with the heating on.

Location was great for visiting Longleat Safari Park and for visiting nearby pubs. The owners were very accommodating (they made us cookies!) and the cabin was well stocked, clean and easy to find / get to. Enough space to park the car as well.

Picturesque, original historical features, comfortable beds, beautiful well maintained grounds, fishing lake, play area, indoors and outdoors seating areas for cafe, easy parking, short drive to Longleat Safari Park, short walk to nearby pub Masons Arms. Nice decor and furnishing & practical. Delicious freshly made pancakes. Enjoyed seeing responsible dog walkers on the grounds.

Extremely friendly owners, make you feel very welcome and comfortable! Would definitely recommend! Area felt safe and property was easy enough to find. Range of selection for breakfast and you were able to choose what time you would like you breakfast and if you’d like the heating hotter or cooler. We stayed here to visit longleat safari park and the property was only a 12 minute drive which was ideal and it’s in a great location for other tourist sites.

The host Chris was great, very nice and welcoming and we felt he went beyond in everything to ensure our stay was nice. His dog Peggy was an added bonus and is very person friendly and well behaved. The breakfast was excellent, a full English and everything was great, we particularly enjoyed the bacon and buttered mushrooms. Location is about 18 minutes drive to longleat safari park and there are other things to do in the area.
