Very friendly staff, good food and a very spacious comfy bedroom. It was quiz night and everyone from the village was very welcoming to us so we had a good fun evening.

The staff at the Shap Wells Hotel went above and beyond to help us continue on our Coast to Coast adventure despite some serious setbacks on our part. The location is fabulous, the staff friendly and helpful, and the accommodations historic and lovely – a wonderful place to stay.

It was perfect for what we wanted to do. It was just off M6 with all access to Windermere, Scotland and Keswick. Not many grocery stores or eateries to choose from in Tebay, so make sure you pick something up. Quaint little village. The host provided a little basket of breakfast items to start us off- very kind
