Everything went well - the hotel is within easy reach of Termini station (and with a Metro stop even closer), and also several local restaurants (the concierge recommended The Bramble, approx. 100m from the hotel). My room faced the street, but noise was not a problem and, unusually for me, I slept well my first night. The hotel serves a good breakfast that's worth taking time over, after which you're unlikely to eat until mid-afternoon. I look forward to returning.

It's probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at (comparing with similar grade/star & I'm a frequent traveler to Europe); glad that I picked this instead of another choice although this was slightly more expensive.

Boasting a rooftop terrace with city views, Hotel Fiume is located in Piazza Fiume 10 minutes' walk from both glamorous via Veneto street and Villa Borghese park.

* Maria and Vladimir (I hope I am spelling correct as different Slavic languages some times spell same names differently) are very hospital administrators. Others were great too buy I did not have chance to know their name. * The room climate is a real saviour during day time of the day thankfully to AC, cool floor and window blinds * Window blinds shut down light completely keeping rooms cool during the day and giving full darkness for better sleep * There are several nice restaurants 5 minutes walk away. We liked them better than the ones at the city center. * It is possible to upgrade your room when you check-in * I have read through old comments and looks like a lot of complaints have been fixed. Rooms look renovated.
