Great location. Right next to Shigakogen ski field and gondola easy to rent ski necessities close by and close to Echigo Yuza station to access the Shinkansen from Tokyo. A fantastic authentic Japanese style hotel with a wonderful hot spring with even an outdoor onsen, varied very traditional dinners which was very much fine dining, and sleeping on futons on a tatami floor. Yukata robes, toothbrushes and amenities all provided. We paid for an early check in.

Right next to NASPA Ski Garden, New Otani Hotel boasts hot-spring baths, an indoor pool and 7 food and beverage options. Spacious Japanese and Western rooms are offered, all with a private bathroom.

We travelled for our anniversary and were upgraded to a mountain view room and it was everything you could ever imagine! The view was something out of a movie 😍 and the room was nice and spacious. The location was great, not far from the train station and the town is small enough to get around
