The houses in the resort are traditional houses from different regions of Laos that have been reassembled and built into rooms with modern amenities. A kind of accommodation-museum. There was love in the air for the local culture and life, as well as for the guests. Looking at the service staff busy in the complex, you feel as if you are living in a nice village in friendly Laos. The view of the Mekong, especially at sunset, is so beautiful that you may forget to finish your coctail. Breakfast is fresh, really tasty and different every morning. The massage is great. The resort is a longer walk from the center of Luang Prabang, but the road is not friendly for walking. It's better to drive. The resort offers transportation to the city and you can easily get back. The resort also offers excursions. If Luang Prabang city vacation is interesting, one can split the time so that half at On the Mekong Resort and half in the city. We did so and were very satisfied. However, looking back, if there was only one stop to choose from, it would be On the Mekong Resort.

The best service that you can imagine in a Luang Prabang hotel. Pinky has helped us with suggesting activities and organising them, and at a competitive rate. The hotel shuttle was flexible around our schedules and was more than enough to compensate the location of the hotel that is slightly further from the city centre.

The view on the Mekong from the restaurant is just beautiful and very serene. It's just amazing to be able to have breakfast on the hotel's terrace. The room was decorated with a lot of charm !

Everything! What a fabulous hotel. Staff were exceptional! Washing machines available to guests were so useful. Free shuttle to/ from the main area (night market) were so useful and you just WhatsApp and they would confirm pick up.

We loved this place! It was the perfect oasis in Luang Prabang. But the Garden House is not only a place to stay to explore the city & its surroundings, it’s a destination in itself. It’s a wonderful experience to take part of this inspired project. The breakfast room windows capture the misty morning mountains like a painting. The generous outdoor kitchen allowed us to experiment with Lao cooking. Incredibly, we could add the organic produce from the garden to our plates. The lovely host even offered a papaya directly from the tree to my mother - this is the kind of moments you cherish forever… The list of things to adore here is endless - thank you so much for creating this place & giving us such a warm welcome! Extra thanks for helping us (super efficiently on WhatsApp) with everything from charcoal to the barbecue to sticky rice steamer to transport.
