We had a nice welcome upon checking in, and the instructions given by the front desk were very clear. We also had our own guest relations officer which was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet was pretty awesome, I loved the selection of curries to go with the Sri Lankan breakfast items, and they even had rice congee which was a first on our trip for us. The room was veryyy comfortable and the bed was perfectly firm. There was a slight problem with the blinds in the room when we checked in, but they got it fixed within 15 minutes. I used the gym in the morning and was pleasantly surprised to find barbells available which is great. The equipment is well kept and there is a good variety of machines available. The location of the hotel is perfect if you plan to do some surfing, it's easy to find a surf school just on weligama beach, steps away from the hotel. We used the spa on our last morning there and I had a good experience with the therapist and the booking of the spa session was also very seamless. Overall it was a great experience from all touch points, from the check in, to the in room service, restaurant, gym, spa, and also at check out. It's a five star hotel so of course it's going to be expensive, but worth the price if you want to have a relaxing holiday by the beach.

The place is magical, the living room / dining space is spacious , feels like home 🌸 Chef is amazing , always wanted to serve perfect dish for us , warm and amazing person .

We had a brilliant stay at Resort of Happiness. The room is spacious and clean, the family were very helpful and it's all a short walk from the beach and from the center of town.

This was exactly what I needed to rest and relax at the end of my trip. Super clean, minimalistic, the breakfast was just outstanding, especially the Sri Lankan. The freshest and tastiest Sri Lankan food I had in this place! Thank you! There is a huge construction site next door. I am super sensitive to sounds but the rooms truly are sound proof, I almost could not hear anything. So it is not really a minus, just an observation.

We had the best time here, the hosts were so friendly and helpful, organising the whale tour at a significant discount to online, as well as any taxis we needed. Rooms were clean comfy and modern and you are within 2 minutes walk to delicious Sri Lanka restaurants.

We had a fantastic stay at Gihan Guesthouse. The owners were incredibly welcoming, and the overall experience was superb. Highly recommended!
