great lodge, very nicely and sustainably built into the natural surroundings, impressive historic main building, the cottages are beautifully nestled into the surrounding landscape, fantastic large pool with great view, also very good food in the restaurant!

With garden views, Gondwana Canyon Roadhouse is set in Stamprivier and has a restaurant, an ATM, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Free WiFi is offered.

Décoration from the reception, the room to the restaurant is amazing. Room is clean with all equipment needed. Friendly staff and amazing food (breakfast and dinner).

This was our favourite campsite of our two-week trip to Namibia. Each spot is very big and private and the shared facilities are really clean, comfortable and bug-free (excellent hot showers with a lockable changing area, and very clean and private toilets). Even though the campsite was full, we were never queuing for a toilet or shower. We also had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant - food was good quality yet inexpensive, and the service was the best we had at a campsite (Diana in the restaurant deserves a special mention).

With far-reaching views over Fish River Canyon just below, the private chalets at this property have rooftop windows. Each has an outdoor shower, and an outdoor pool is available.

On the rim of the canyon. Can't get better than that. You can watch the sunrise from your bed if you so wish. The staff was amazing. The manager, Richard and his lovely wife, were helpful and resourceful in planning our next phase of the tour. Definitely will recommend as we've not done the 8 hour tour.
