Great breakfast, you have menu options to choose from. Fresh fruit available. Amazing coffee. Polite staff. Clean. Also very close to lovely Tropical Gardens and Jeronimo Monastery. The gym is small but enough for a short trip option. Spa is clean (small sauna room and steam room).

The experience at this hotel was beyond words. Excellent location since it was a 10 minute walk from the Belem Cultural Center where my conference took place. The room was large and very comfortable. It included a sitting area within the room. The window was very large and as a result the room had always light. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. That cleaning lady even folded my nightgown every day. The bed has huge, always well made with obviously clean and ironed sheets and a very comfortable mattress. The room was made early in the morning (instead of at 3 or 4 pm). The breakfast was excellent. A large variety of products, including very fresh fruit and everything else you may desire. The personnel was beyond words polite, warm and professional (but not in the cold meaning of the word). I am not sure what else to write. It was one of the few times (and I travel quite often) that I felt that this hotel, which was not cheap, was worth every penny!!!

Purchased visitor card covering transport and attractions entrance. Unable to gain entry here with this card - maybe they have a quota which was used up. Would have done better to book direct or join the queue and pay on the day. If you really want to go here don't rely on tourist pass.

Massive 2hr queues first thing in the morning from coach/cruise ship trips. Go later in the day. Buy your ticket from the kiosk across the road by the car park before joining the queue. The tickets do not specify an entry time so you can buy them, then come back later.

Huge long lines for the Cloisters, book on line in advance if you want to go but even with tickets, expect a long wait. Also, the cathedral is close to the public during masses, so make sure you go when it is open. There is no line and no charge to go in.

We came on a Monday as it was advertised on google as being open, when we arrived it was closed! We spoke to some of the staff from the maritime museum and they explained it’s been an ongoing issue for some time now with tourists coming and just finding out it’s been closed when they already took the time and effort to travel there. The staff said they’ve been flagging it up for a long time that the information online is wrong to the monastery(but apparently they don’t care about wasting the time and money of people). It tells you a lot about a place if they don’t have any courtesy.

A must see architectural wow!!

A must see architectural wow!! We happened to visit while a concert was going on. To see and hear the organ being played while taking in all the artwork and history of the interior of the church was an unexpected highlight. Walk across the square to Belem Tower, but be sure to stop and take in the view of the monastery at several vantage points. It's particularly stunning as the sun blesses the monestery at sunset.

very long waiting time in the sun (watch out for getting sunburned) It was about 2 hours to wait even with the Lisboa card. On the site from the Lisboa card it said it was a skip the line ticket but it is not. Inside the Monastery is pretty but I don't think it is worth waiting 2 hours, you are in and out in 10 minutes. You only see a very small part of the monastery whereas on the outside it is a massive building....
