The staff were fantastic. We were looked after by Ellie first who was kind and very helpful then by Cristiana (aka Rainbow) who was great company and very helpful. All the staff were just great. The hotel of ice is beautiful and very special. Rooms were well designed, well made and totally iconic. We were able to choose which room was best and had the facilities of the nearby chalet as needed. The food in the evening at the ice hotel was wonderful (really really delicious and well priced). The novelty of this hotel is wonderful. It was romantic, fun and just beautiful. We will absolutely visit again. The meal was the best value for the quality given. The service was excellent by all standards.

The location is absolutely stunning... waking up to a view of two waterfalls, a herd of sheep grazing nearby, and the dramatic mountain scenery was unforgettable. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and I even offered to take some professional drone shots of the hotel for them next time. The breakfast was fresh and tasty too. A truly peaceful place to unwind after battling the serpentine roads of the Transfagarasan. Its definitely worth spending an extra few euros to stay here than somewhere further down the mountain in one of the first cities. I’d love to come back!

We stayed here one night before travelling the Transfagarasan. We also had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The rooms were excellent and clean. The staff were doing their best to help, especially the owner who speaks excellent English. The restaurant was excellent, great variety and everything we tried was good and at low prices. This was the best place we stayed in during our 8 days in Romania.

The hosts very really friendly and helpful with suggestions, the room was clean and spacious, we had access to the kitchen and living room and, as there were no other guests at the moment, we had the place to ourselves. The garden is well kept, probably a relaxing spot on warmer days, and the area feels quiet and safe.
