Excellent location, well taken care of, good service from the front desk and well priced. There's a small fridge and they refill it with bottled water. WiFi is pretty good! I also recommend booking airport transfer through them since it was efficient and hassle free.

Hospitality from the moment we arrived. Cozy, clean boutique hotel with beautiful interior design and rooftop terrace you can enjoy with complimentary tea and coffee throughout your stay or an afternoon homemade cake and cookies. Breakfast beautifully displayed. We were excited to come back after a long day of exploring, that tells a lot. Thank you for everything. :)

Blue Mosque

Constructed between 1609 and 1616, the striking Sultan Ahmed Mosque – or ‘Blue Mosque’ – is still a place of worship today. With no war victories to fund it, this opulent structure had to be paid for straight from the treasury – angering the Ottoman legal scholars of the time! Non-Muslim visitors are encouraged to visit, but should be respectful of the strict dress code.

A famous but fully respectable by its visitors sightseeing.

A famous but fully respectable by its visitors sightseeing. Although the entrance is free, serenity and harmony prevail. Cannot tell the same about the neighbouring Agia Sophia, whose redeployment to a mosque does not serve the new scope and downgrades the original monument.

The Blue Mosque — Sacred Stillness in a Lively World

The Blue Mosque — Sacred Stillness in a Lively World Stepping into the courtyard of the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii) is like crossing into another time. Its towering minarets and sweeping domes echo with centuries of prayer, artistry, and devotion — a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture that still breathes with the spirit of Islam. Inside, the air is silent despite the buzz of tourists. Light filters through stained-glass windows, dancing across thousands of hand-painted blue Iznik tiles. There’s a deep reverence here — not only for faith, but for heritage itself. You feel it in every arch, every call to prayer, every quiet footstep across the carpeted floor. And yet, outside the mosque, life unfolds with its own charm: cats stretch lazily in sun-warmed corners, dogs nap peacefully under shady trees. Meanwhile, travelers from every corner of the world struggle for the perfect angle — clicking away hundreds of “crazy” photos, but always with a sense of wonder. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere remains remarkably friendly and trustworthy. Locals smile. Tourists help each other with photos. There's an unspoken agreement to respect the moment — and the place. This isn’t just a tourist stop. It’s a symbol — of culture that knows how to honor the past without shutting the present out. And it leaves you walking away with something more than just pictures.

Ensure that you have clothing that covers your knees, apllicable to both men and women. Women additionally need to ensure that they have a headscarf to cover head and shoulders. They now charge for the coverings if you don't have

As a Christian, first time in a mosque, I was impressed. The colors and architecture are impressive. I was lucky enough to have the accommodation 5min away so I could enjoy the beauty before going in, one night before. I recognize I was disguised by the non-Muslims that are not able to respect other people beliefs and gets in the prayer area just for pictures. Pity them. You should never put your pictures before the place you are, no matter what.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were very attentive, and the owner showed truly personal care. He kindly upgraded my room and surprised me with sweets and tea. The hotel is very clean, warm, and comfortable. The location is perfect. Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern, and the Blue Mosque are all just a few minutes’ walk away. A very good location just minutes away from the coast and importantly 10-15mins walk to the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sofia. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. I love the breakfast spread. It’s highly recommended for couples, solo travelers and also kids friendly. There’s also a lift. Hotel staff always ready to help us with our bags. The roof top terrace was a gem.

The location is just 7 mins walk from the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia, 4 mins walk to a tram/metro stop. The breakfast is too good value for money in Istanbul standards. Family run hostel with a great people on reception, all of them are super friendly including women who is making breakfast every morning. I stayed in a mixed dormitory room which was maintained regularly on a daily bases. Location is the best possible, just under the Blue Mosque which make it good spot for exploring this part of Istanbul. This is not a party hostel so the atmosphere here is relatively calm, nice lobby area next to reception where you can rest for a while before going out.

Staying at the Albinas was Like coming home. I was here the very first time in Istanbul back in 2011. The hotel underwent major changes over the past few years, bit did not lose its charm. Conveniently located in Sultanahmet a few steps away from the Blue Mosque and some of the most important beauties the City offers. Reception personnel always nice and helpful.

A small hotel (but surprisingly, with an elevator) in an excellent location (perfect for exploring the most interesting, historical part of Istanbul). The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are varied. The view from the dining room during breakfast is worth every penny – the hotel is not only situated between the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, but also offers the unique opportunity to gaze simultaneously at Europe and Asia, along with ships sailing on the Bosphorus, while sipping your morning coffee.
