- It's a brand new hotel, so everything is shiny-new and clean. Safety box in the room has space for a laptop. - Hotel staff is amazing, very friendly and willing to help. Special thanks to Paria for her invaluable piece of advice regarding sightseeing. It saved me time and money :) Mehmet was also very helpful and friendly. - Amazing location. Really short walk for main sightseeing places such as Hage Sofia, Hippodrom, Cisterna Basilica. and just 1 min from tram station which brings you quickly to other landmarks. - Breakfast is nice. I would say "awesome", but for me it was good.

The prices here are triple!

The prices here are triple! Either you can bargain or don’t buy in the first place. The same merchandise and goods are available all over the city in different areas and other markets cheaper. Grand Bazaar is fun for the experience only.

Disappointing.

Disappointing. I think I imagined it to be old world style market with original and locally made items. Basically a giant souvenir mall with the same items sold in every store, and that I suspect come from China. One exception was a rug store hidden away in a basement, called Export & Import (proprietor is Abdullah Balta) -- we bought two rugs. Very pleased with them.

I was last in Istanbul and at the Grand Bazaar 30 years ago, and while I really enjoyed my recent visit to Istanbul - a photogenic, fascinating city - I was disappointed in the Grand Bazaar which was offering the same items as almost every other tourist shopping outlet and street-side shopping stall. Perhaps the prices are lower in the Bazaar to draw the crowds, but I was left feeling that I was seeing ‘more of the same’. The interior architecture of the building is interesting.

Be prepared for "chaos" this was not an enjoyable experience, I felt that I was consistently being "bullied" into a purchase from anywhere I looked. The market is vast so be prepared to find yourself looking for a familiar exit or entrance. I suggest you go with a guide.

Historical & busy bazar but beautiful bazar with lots of variety of accessories & jewelry. I saw people haggling to get discounts. Very hospitable shopkeepers! We were served with differnt delicious teas like apple tea, ginger tea, & pomegranate tea. Along with dry fruits & deserts. I enjoyed shopping there. Great place to visit! Prces were a bit better in Taksim square area. Must try Amazing deserts at Hafiz Mustafa shops.

Having visited from UK, we rate this hotel very highly. Special Thanks to Manager, Tuanna and her staff for outstanding service. We had originally booked for 2 nights but extended our stay to 7 nights here. The hotel is located directly opposite Grand Bazaar and Beyazit Tram Stop and in close proximity of Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) and many other historic attractions. Breakfast consisted of a large variety of items. Please see our photos.

The balconies with sea views are very nice, the staff is friendly, the sea views are very good. It is in the best location in Istanbul, close to Sultanahmet, Çemberlitaş, Little Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, shopping malls, restaurants, and everything is very close. They have private transfer vehicles that pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel. Everything was great, thank you very much.☺️🙏

The property was new and within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar and the metro. The beds were very comfortable. My wife and I had a relaxing day. It was in a family-friendly location. The street was very quiet, and there was 24-hour security, which made us feel safe. Kudos to the hotel staff and the owner, Mr. Feyzi.

The location of this hotel is fabulous. So close to the grand bazaar and walking distance to many of the key sights. The tram is super easy to use and right at the top of the road. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a very good spread with many options and lots of variety. My room was small but the bed was comfy.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! It’s perfectly located – just a short walk from the Grand Bazaar and other popular tourist spots. The convenience of being able to easily explore Istanbul’s historic sites made my trip even more enjoyable. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed. Grand Bazar is just for visiting not for shopping as costs are higher here. The funny thing is that everything is about negotiation in shops or on the streets. You will have a big surprise that the final price you are paying it is with 30% - 50% less. I.e. Turkish yoyo on the street is 5TL but if you offer 2.5 TL you're gone have it :) Good look.

The atmosphere.

The atmosphere. You can find most of these things in other places but not in market places with such heady atmosphere as in Istanbul. It is an experience to spend time in Grand Bazaar even if you buy nothing. Shopping areas in India, my country, are equally interesting but they tend to be dirty and full of traps like potholes and overflowing drains. Istanbul has the atmosphere without these problems. The place we liked most was Arasta Bazaar near the Blue Mosque.
