Let me tell you a little about this wonderful hotel. Actually there are very few words about this hotel, you have to come and see for yourself this wonderful hotel with its super staff. the rooms were very clean and the location was right in the heart of istanbul The staff is simply wonderful, they are very warm, kind, respectful. The guys at the reception are so nice as if they are your closest friend for many years. All the workers are good, but for me there are names that I just can't emphasize in this writing, they are from Adsuran ,SERVAN ,MIRAC ,Murat Atalay Eren Berke . I am very grateful to the management of this hotel for creating such a hotel for me and tourists like me and having such an impressive and friendly staff. Thank you very much. I will tell all my relatives about this hotel and I will definitely urge them when they come to Istanbul to definitely choose this hotel and when I come to Istanbul again I already know where I will live. Hagia Sophia

In 537 AD, Hagia Sophia began life as a church, before becoming an Ottoman mosque in 1453. The largest cathedral in the world for almost a thousand years, this majestic building is considered one of the finest surviving examples of Byzantine architecture. Today, you can go inside and explore both the colossal structure as well as its museum.

Sadly tourists can only go around the upper level.

Sadly tourists can only go around the upper level. Previously you could get in on the ground floor and experience the wonderful open space of the huge dome above you. It is still possible to see some of the dome and the structure is very interesting but a slight disappointment. However , it is an amazing old structure. Small number of mosaics still visible. Better and more extensive mosaics at the Kariye Camii if mosaics are of interest.

This was the most incredible part of Istanbul.

This was the most incredible part of Istanbul. Again ensure proper attire or you have to pay for covering. The interplay of Christianity and the Muslim faith, and neither chose to desicrate the other. Just be aware that you will only be able to visit the upper section unless you're a practising muslim.

Its a pity that such an UNESCO monument was turned into a Muslim Cami. And it is discrimination that all non Muslims cannot visit the whole area. As a Greek and orthodox I felt very sorry of the destructions of all the inside ( almost). This should be a museum open for all ,independent on their beliefs. Civilization is not looking into beliefs. Should be respected within centuries.

    Oh, what a delight.

Oh, what a delight. I’m an open minded Christian so I appreciate such a wonderful and special place is still in place. You have to admitted if it wasn’t the Muslims it (probably) shared the fate of Acropolis. Is a wonder it does not crumble during times. Really. I was not able to take two straight pictures in a row, such a marvel of architecture is it, patch after patch. Is not the Pantheon, is not Basilica di San Pietro, but is still there. I also have to appreciate they respect the history and prior faith and do not cover part of the old (Christinas) paintings.

The history is stunning and the main room is beautiful as well as the mosaics. However, I was underwhelmed considering they now charge to go in and you cannot go on the main floor (a result of it being turned into a mosque). Also the carpet choice doesn't help with the overall site. I think the other mosques were better. Also, there are LONG queues to buy a ticket and then queues to go in. I would recommend going to the Hagia Sophia experience museum (across the Obelisk) and buy tickets there.

Insanely long lines deterred us, although you can take great shot elsewhere. Whether you are a man or woman, you need to cover up. Ladies with shawl, long sleeves, and down to ankles. Men with pants and at least a t-shirt (no tank tops). Otherwise, no entry.

Great breakfast, very close to public transport (2 stops down to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque) and comfy bed. Staff super helpful. Easy walk to restaurants, shops etc. It is a longer ride to get across the river to other areas due to traffic, but true of any hotel in this area. The hotel restaurant is great as well.

The room was clean and well decorated. The staff was excellent. Handled questions and concerns without hesitation. Talked with the owner during a marvelous breakfast on the top level that overlooked the river. She spoke English and chatted with us for quite awhile, wanting to know how we were doing, where we from and was very proud of her facility. We could walk to the major both the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia as well as the bazaars. I would return to this hotel when coming back to Istanbul.

She cooperated fully, even with tourist destinations. She is doing her job exceptionally well and is a great asset to the hotel. The location of this hotel is the best part of the stay. It is just a 2–3 minute walk from the famous Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, and about a 10-minute walk from the Grand Bazaar. There are many restaurants nearby, and the environment around the hotel is lively. The staff were very friendly and arranged all our activities, tours, and taxis. Breakfast was wonderful, and the rooftop restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the entire city. I would definitely plan to book this hotel again if I travel to Istanbul.

We stayed in the Standard Suite and it was an excellent experience. The room was exactly like the pictures – very neat, clean, modern, and well-renovated. Everything we needed was provided and well managed. The hotel is also in a perfect location, just a short walk from all the main attractions in Sultanahmet Old Town (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, etc.). Overall, a comfortable and hassle-free stay – highly recommended for anyone visiting Istanbul.
