Staying at the hotel is not just functional or practical - it becomes part of the experience of being on holiday in Detroit. It is the kind of builing you'd want to visit or wander around in when exploring the city, so being able to stay there overnight as part of a city trip is just fantastic. And as a hotel it is top notch. The corner room I had was massive, with high ceilings, and very luxurious. Given that still larger rooms are available., I suspect it would be a great hotel for a family stay. The room was also very quiet - you see the city but do not hear it at all. Check in and check out were a breeze. It is centrally located and close to public transport, so perfect as a base to explore the city.

I recently had a 2-night business trip to Detroit and stayed at the Roost Hotel. Honestly, it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time, and I travel frequently for work. The staff at the Roost were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly friendly, professional, and accommodating. My flight landed early, and to my surprise, they were able to check me in at 1:00 pm, a full 3 hours before the standard check-in time! They didn't stop there - they even upgraded my room to a brand new one-bedroom apartment, free of charge! On checkout day, my flight was delayed, and again, the staff went above and beyond by letting me keep the room until 3:00 pm at no additional cost. This flexibility was a lifesaver and made a stressful situation much easier to manage. The room itself was amazing. It was a brand new, one-bedroom apartment that was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished. The view of downtown Detroit was just incredible. It felt more like a luxurious apartment than a hotel room, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The Roost's location in the Book Tower puts you right in the heart of the action. There are fantastic restaurants and bars within the building itself, so you have a great selection of options without even having to leave. Overall, I cannot recommend the Roost Hotel highly enough. The staff's exceptional service, the stunning accommodations, and the prime location make it a true gem. If you're looking for a fantastic place to stay in Detroit, look no further than the Roost!

    My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. The Front Desk people were friendly and helpful. Its downtown location right beside the People Mover made going to Greektown or Comerica Park(and Buddies) etc. a short, easy train trip, plus it was free. I thought it was excellent value for the cost.

    We had a great stay. The hotel is located right next to the Michigan Avenue People Mover stop, which takes you to many great areas of the city. We walked to Comerica Park in 10 minutes. The area outside the hotel is clean and we always felt safe walking around. It was my teenage children's first time in Detroit and they loved it. We will definitely be back!

    Location was good with as it is close to Ford Field, Comerica Park and other commercial area and having a Public (paid) parking lot just across the street which help a lot parking (better than to leave on the street). The room was very big with wahser and dryer. Have a full kitchen is nice and helps with the breakfast. Bathroom was okay

    We came for the P!nk concert. Although the website stated that the shuttle doesn’t run during the week, we were pleasantly surprised that it did for this concert. It was a game changer as we driving and parking or taking an Uber would’ve been very stressful for us. Our driver Ken was very accommodating and wonderful! The hotel bar was an added bonus!!! Will definitely book this hotel again for events at Comerica park. Thank you!!
