I had no problem walking to the Ferry Building, Haight-Ashbury or to Crissy Field. The room was huge, clean, comfortable and air conditioning worked well. The location was great, about 5 minutes to the Union Square or the cable tram and 30 minutes to the Ferry building. There are a few bars and restaurants nearby too. The bed was very comfortable. A refrigerator, a safe and a coffee machine served for our comfort. There was a Safeway supermarket on the way so we could grab items on our way back to our room. The room had a kitchenette which was great when travelling with kids ( bring your own plastic plates, bowls, spoons etc). There was also a free laundry available. Rent a bike from near the Ferry Building, bike through Market St., go west through the Hippie street, Golden Gate Park, then up the west coast alongside the beach, up the hill to Golden Gate Bridge, then either cross the bridge and bike more or down the eastern side along the Piers and back to Ferry Building to return the bike.
