Starting with location, it is a great choice to explore the city: one can easily walk to Millennium Park, Daley Plaza, to the starting point of the Architecture Boat tours, Michigan Av shopping mile, etc. There are also nice eateries in vicinity. The nearest bridge turned out to be an excellent location for traditional summer fireworks watching. We booked the Grand Corner King Room, and it was every penny worth. It was also one of the seldom times, when a window in skyscraper could be opened - even if only a small one, it provided for a breath of fresh air in otherwise well air-conditioned room. The design of the room was minimalist, but stylish, with a large and comfy bed and spacious ensuite bathroom. The staff was highly accommodative and welcoming. They brought us the kettle upon the first request and were overall quite attentive and friendly. The lobby is huge and nicely decorated. The restaurant, located on the ground floor serves decent food: we visited it only once for breakfast (to spend the vouchers one gets during the stay) and were quite satisfied with the quality of the offer.

The location was perfect. Lots of good options to eat out literally steps from the hotel. If you are running the marathon, it is just a few mins walk from Grant Park, which is perfect for race day. Room has a fridge with freezer, bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. It was a great stay and I would definitely return.

The location is definitely the best aspect of staying here. The size of the studio apartment was also adequate for a few days. We appreciated having a kitchen with basic equipment, e.g., pots and coffee maker. Sound-proofing was good. View of Grant Park and the water was very nice.

We got upgraded to a suite - which was absolutely fantastic. Huge amount of space, views across the river and the city, probbaly one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. Hotel elevator worked really well - often in these big hotels, there is a lot of slowness and standing around - not here, the call system was clever and worked really well. Location was excellent, pretty close for us to walk to Grant Park for the Marathon. Also highly appreciated pasta party and early breakfast options.

The hotel was lovely and we enjoyed the outdoor space tremendously. Walking distance to Grant Park/Mag Mile and enjoyable neighbourhood with cute restaurants. Breakfast in the hotel was actually more reasonable than going anywhere else!

I had a good stay at the Travelodge by Wyndham Downtown Chicago. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Grant Park, Millennium Park, and the Museum Campus, which makes it a great base for exploring the city. The room was simple but clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were cozy, and the WiFi worked well. While the hotel is a bit older and doesn’t have some of the modern amenities you’d find in higher-end places, the value for money and central location more than make up for it.

The hotel was amazing. We requested for a better view room, and they fulfilled our wish. The location is amazing. Grant park, millenium park, michigan avenue all of them are in walking distance. Plus the train and bus stations are like 2 mins or 4 mins away. Amazing!!
