Property was in a nice, quiet and peace full area. Away from a lot of noise and has great limestone mountain views to wake up to in the mornings. The staff are really friendly and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure your stay is one to remember.

The staff/family, clean rooms, beautiful location and lovely overall vibe, great view of the river and landscape. Free bicycles, free paddleboard and possibility to rent a scooter, and Lucky the dog 🐕 great value for money! They let us keep our bags at their place and let us use bicycles the whole day after check out, while we waited to go with our sleeper bus in the evening. They even invited us to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) with them and their family, but unfortunately we had to continue our journey.. The biggest L of our Vietnam trip was that we did not have the opportunity to accept their invitation and Celebrate with them 🥲 If we ever come back around the Ninh Binh area, we will definitely stay here again!

I booked one night, finally stayed for 4 nights and I would have stayed for a lifetime. The peacefulness of the place, the family who are so kind and thoughtful about everything you need, providing clean rooms that even have heating for the colder nights, very good breakfast. Not to mention the huge pool and my favourite, the lake full of different species of fish that you can catch and then eat for dinner. The family was so warm and welcoming and really I felt like it was my family too, they invited me to dinner and I enjoyed the delicious food that they kindly offered to me with an open heart. I highly recommend this place, everything was perfect! Thank you grandma, thank you children, thank you my second family for making my stay there so beautiful!

Chang took care of us very well, they always had a sweet smile and their advice on what we should do while in Ninh Binh were very spot on! They booked us taxis to the spots which were very helpful and quick at a very good price. We did the Trang An boat tour as suggested by Chang and it was truly a great experience. We felt very at home in this wonderfully friendly hostel. This is our favorite place to stay during our trip. And the Pom Pom dog is very cute. We will definitely come back here when we go to Ninh Binh.

Its actually quite nice to walk around early in the morning...

Its actually quite nice to walk around early in the morning before the other tourists arrive, but in reality it is a couple of quite nice by nothing special temples in the main complex, a nothing special temple out in a very scenic valley bewteen karst towers, and a totally uninspiring temple up quite a climb up some steep steps near the top of a hill.

Accept the offer of a motorbike tour at the gate to see it all, otherwise you’ll never find all the locations. Trust the locals. They are trying to make a living sure - as we all are. But you gotta trust that apart from the odd taxi driver, in Vietnam most people ARE NOT trying to rip you off. Yes people offering directions are doing just that like you would at home. And do give some money to the lady monks who hold out their hands when you visit. It is how they survive. Don’t be cheap and mean please! I witnessed some bad white people behaviour here and in Tam Coc and Hoi An. Try not to be an asshole!
