Arenal Observatory Lodge was highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Location and facilities are simply amazing. We didn’t expect to lay on our beds and watch volcano and toucans perched on the trees right by our windows! Staff is wonderful. Luis was our driver who picked us up in San Jose and told us a lot about area, tours and facilities during our ride. He was attentive and caring. He also delivered sunglasses we forgot in the shop in La Fortuna, was very kind of him. Carlos from reception helped us to receive our luggage which was delayed by airline. He informed us when luggage finally arrived. Trails are in very good conditions and have protection from rain every km or so. Trails were easy or moderate, so even my mum who is 64 coped with them and truly enjoyed it. Food in the restaurant is very tasty and well presented. Thanks to everyone in the Lodge who made our stay unforgettable!

The view was amazing from both the bed and the little living room. Absolutely beautiful, very clean with all possible amenities. Each apartment has its own parking + there are facilities for disabled people. The hosts are very polite and quite helpful in case you need anything for the apartment or if you eould like to book a tour or an activity. They have a quite huge network which is really useful! I would go there again for sure! Definitely worth it!

Carlos carlos carlos...he is as amazing host as the place! We love them all the same.. and also his wife Elena. If you don't stay here you're missing out on life! We didn't want to leave this place. Oh by the way the food was also lovely. He knows what is spicy what you ask him what is spicy! Don't go without the argentina pizza and cas juice! Quiet , peaceful, super friendly staff. Very comfortable beds , great breakfast and they accommodated my need for GF as I am Coeliac. The grounds were absolutely stunning and the rooms were huge. Amazing wildlife, we saw toucans , iguanas and heard the howler monkeys.

it was amazing! we loved our fantastic villa with a beautiful interior, lots of space, en suite barhrooms and a wonderful patio. The pool was incredible with a spectacular view, we used the sauna and enjoyed the pool the whole afternoon. We have stayed in 6 different accomodations in Costa Rica and this was by far the best! we are travelling with children and it was very convenient that the food was served in our accomodation!
