We had an amazing time at Orangutan Bungalow! Staff were so helpful. We did the 3 day trek through them which was incredible. We also saw some orangutans on the property and from our balcony.

Locally-owned, slice of heaven in Bukit Lawang. The location is incredible.. quiet spot next to the river, but just a 3 min walk to the center. The service and warmth of the staff is next level.. The restaurant on site has amazing views and food. We booked our 2 night jungle trek directly with Green Travelodge, and we are sooo glad we did. We had the BEST experience in the jungle. Omar and Jon, our guides, knew the jungle and animals so well. We saw soooo much: orangutans, gibbons, pig-tailed macaque, lots of small critters and birds.. and so much more. It was a dream. Adan, the chef, was a magician. He made the best meals we have ever had.. the three guys became like family. We are so happy we booked here.. and will definitely be back soon.

Perfect location, you see the oerang oetan from your terrace. The trekking with zuhri, Jory and Mawan was super. Very good guide and the food was excellent. Happy days!

What an amazing peaceful place and full of fauna all around. The gardens is maintained with such great care. Huge bungalow, shower was simple and rustic without warm water but it’s in the edge of the jungle. I’ve stayed one week there and Wawan took such a good care organizing jungle trek for everyone at his lodge. Always friendly and caring without being intrusive. You will see a lot of monkey just from you’re balcony and hear them at night.

wow what a nice place the owner gia is very friendly he directed us for 3 days of trekking it turned out that we were not disappointed we saw a lot of orangutans .. 2 nights in the forest with "jasu" a friendly guide very satisfying I helped cook in the forest ..
