This place was an absolute experience! The views were seriously breathtaking and most of all if you are looking to relax, connect with nature and have the best time disconnecting this is the ideal place. The food served was really delicious as well. Would recommend this 100% to anyone travelling solo or with a family.

We stayed 2 nights at the Sigiri art home. It is a lovely place hidden in the jungle. From the comfortable furniture at the patio, you can enjoy the sights of the beautiful garden. When we arrived we were welcomed very kindly. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The AC functioned perfectly. In the morning we got a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. The host and his wife are kindhearted and want to make sure your stay is up to your wishes. When we ran out of gas with our rented tuk tuk, the host even brought us to a gas station to get a bottle of fuel. He was truly a lifesaver.

The property was in great condition, very clean and well maintained. It’s located in the country side, so you get to see how locals live, however, it is a 5 minute drive to the Main Street of sigiriya making it a convenient location. The owner is a very polite and kind local, who takes you on tours through the countryside to see how locals live. I have never had someone be so willing to take us out without asking for money in return. He spent 7 hours driving us around to all the nice places in Sigiriya, and when we tried to give him a generous tip as a thank you, he declined the offer multiple times. He made our trip priceless and I would highly recommend staying here.

We cannot recommend this place enough. We spent 3 nights in Machcha Lodge and everything was perfect from the first minute. Kamal is the sweetest, kindest person and made sure to always check if we needed anything. He makes the most delicious welcome drink and a spectacular breakfast that we will be dreaming about for months.. The lodge is extremely clean and well equipped - has many sockets, a hair dryer, a large mirror, good AC and a great shower. The bed was out of this world and we slept like babies. The garden is absolutely idyllic - in the first 15 minutes of arriving we saw monkeys, peacocks, iguana, and a toucan. On top of everything, the place is 1 minute away from Roy's villa hostel which is ideal as you can join them with all the great activities that they plan. This was only the start of our trip in Sri Lanka but I cannot see how any place could compete with this one.:)

Probably one of the best place that I stayed since I arrived to Sri Lanka, Calm and serenity down here, a beautiful garden with a lot of trees, flowers and shade, and a lovely family taking care of you at any time. I WARMLY recommend this place, you’ll remember 👌🙏🏼

Such a lovely, quiet and peaceful place! The garden surrounding the Lodge is full of flowers, plants and even a small pond. The owner would answer super fast to text messages and is super caring, trying to meet all wishes and even the desired timing of his guests! He would bring us several times by tuk tuk to the city center and pick us up again for dinner or coffee, he would drive us by himself or organize a driver to go to the Lion's Rock and Pidurangala and also to the bus station when we left. Super laundry service, where he would take care of our laundry and being them back afterwards. The breakfast made by his wife is super delicious and local, plus served in the garden - perfect start for the day. You can see the lions Rock from three rice fields which are straight in front of the Lodge. Extraordinarily clean room and bathroom! Room with AC, very comfy for a nice sleep. All in all, really nice!:)
