We found Country Lodge to be the most exquisite place to stay. The property is decorated with quirky African art and is a definite eye catcher. The young manager couldn't do enough to help us and she even drove us out and back to Orange River Cellars and even had time to give us a quick tour of the town! Breakfast was excellent

What a beautiful place to stay on the bank of the Orange River! We enjoyed a drink watching the Springboks graze on the lush green lawns. The host and staff were all very friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed. Safe off-road parking behind a security gate. We only stayed one night, but will definitely return on our next visit to Upington. Highly recommend!

The staff were friendly, efficient, and willing to accommodate us with our request for a specific room. They were available throughout our stay. I also enjoyed stargazing (this is why we requested the quiet room that faces the outside of the entire venue). It is safe and peaceful.
