An American breakfast is available at the lodge. Amazing views of the lake, the rooms were clean and cozy and the hosts were gracious in helping us find recommendations for the area. Would highly recommend this place if in the area. The hosts made dinner each night and it was some of the best food we had on Carretera Austral!

My boyfriend and I arrived at the Michimahuida cabins as the first destination on our trip to the Carretera Austral. Our stay in the place was short, however we managed to establish a super pleasant and friendly communication with Nano, the owner of the place and his work team, who treated us in a super warm and close way. I must also mention that Nano was a good support for us, during the trip, with recommendations, and giving his help after we suffered an accident on the road. We are fine, nothing happened to us, however we had to alter the order of everything a bit and Nano in a super disinterested way helped us.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Everything about the property is enchanting and incredible. There are various trails nearby for hiking and the main rafting start point is just down the road. The food, personnel, and facilities are worth the price.

There is a restaurant serving regional and international dishes, and a buffet breakfast is served daily. There is a private beach 2 km away. It’s a quiet cozy place with amazing atmosphere where they treat you like a family. Food is fantastic, fast internet, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water in shower, extremely friendly and helpful staff… and THE VIEW! Breathtaking!

Some rooms have a TV with streaming services. Beautiful setting. Very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast. Ruth goes out of her way to make you feel welcome!

Fitted with a terrace, the units offer air conditioning and feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. A microwave and kettle are also provided. We loved our stay! We arrived later on the day and were immediately greeted by Miguel, the host who explained everything for us and was always a great help. The cabin was amazing! The views of the lake are breathtaking, the interior is very cozy and we felt right at home. The beds were super comfortable, in the little kitchenette, you find everything for a basic dinner and the wifi was working smoothly. The bathroom was very clean and tasteful as the whole apartment!

A bicycle rental service is available at Alto Castillo Lodge, while hiking and cycling can be enjoyed nearby. Beautiful location surrounded by nature, views of valleys and mountains. The food was not exceptional but well prepared. The Lodge itself is well designed in the farmhouse country-side kind of style, huge windows, nice furniture, and it feels like a private retreat rather than a hotel. The manager was exceptional- he was at 5 different places at the same time, finding time to greet all guests, offer meals and services and attention.

One of the two most gorgeous views we have ever had at a lodging.
