It is magical here and I hope I have that chance to visit again. My only regret is not staying longer. I had the breakfast one morning, which was lovely. The facilities are minimal. This is easily managed if planned for. There is no fridge in the little pod I stayed in, but there is a microwave. The microwave was enough for me to have a couple small meals. People have mentioned more counter space would be nice. I found it good enough. I had my things organized under the bed. Having the travel packing pods was useful. It is remote, and I suggest bringing in your own drinking water. I didn't get sick or anything, but as a precaution, that is my advice. There are lovely outdoor seating areas. I traveled with a small collapsible chair. It was great for this location, as well as when I visited beaches in other parts of the country. There are great knock off versions of the helinox chairs. If you bring one for your trip you won't regret it. This place is very special, and I offer these little tips so that you can enjoy this accommodation as much as I have. I cannot express enough how beautiful and magical the location is with the surrounding jungle covered mountains. For context. I am a solo female traveler. I felt very safe in this remote location. I had a suv rental from Adobe (very excellent car rental). I didn't need the 4wd, but had it been raining, then I likely would have used it a bit. Definitely need the high clearance on the vehicle. There was only 1 spot that required the clearance when i visited. I used the downhill assist when driving into the valley. That was very useful, and easier on the brakes. Driving back from Santa Elena in the dark was fine for me. Thank you to the hosts for having such beautiful and unique accommodations.

Everything was clean and in great condition. Beautiful view from on high of the ocean. The workout equipment was nice too since we had a lot of rain while we were there.

The location was good near of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. The house is in middle of a forest and is really quiet and is easy to see birds and monkeys. The pool is really nice and the beach is near walking. The house was clean and have all we need to enjoy the week we spend there.

Everything was wonderful, we were in Costa Rica for 5 weeks and this was the best place so far. If I ever go back to Costa Rica I would definitely stay here again.

This is like luxury camping, where the place is a mix between a tent and an apartment. We had a nice view of the mountains, which we enjoyed from our terrace with a hammock, and we cooked on the gas stove. It was so peaceful. My biggest fear was sleeping without air conditioning, but we slept well. The beds are comfortable, and the fan and fresh air were sufficient for good sleep.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Something deeper in the jungle yet close to Uvita and the coast. Just the peace and quiet and closeness to Nature I needed. And the cabin has no glass windows, just screens, so you can hear the music of the jungle very clearly. Nights were spectacular. I loved falling asleep to the symphony of the the surrounding wilderness and waking up to the sounds of roosters and howler monkeys (: The property has access to a river and mini waterfall which was very tranquil and serene. The drive to the cabin was a fun little adventure in itself and 4x4 is recommended. The hill that leads down to the cabin is ultra steep but you have the option to park atop the hill and walk down which is a short jaunt. The host, Wouter, was amazingly attentive, personable, and chill. He would always respond to my questions/ messages quickly. You could not ask for a better host. I can recommend Loft del Rio with total confidence and rate it a perfect 10. If you are looking to experience an immersive jungle experience that is also close to the coast, this is it.

Το Jungle Living Tree Houses είναι στο Monteverde, κοντά στα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος Monteverde Butterfly Gardens και Monteverde Ecological Sanctuary, και παρέχει δωρεάν WiFi. There are 3 tree houses. Initially I was disappointed because our tree house was overlooking the car park. However, the car park only ever had the maximum of 3 cars so it’s not an issue. Inside we turned the armchairs around to face the trees. Within a few minutes of settling in 2 beautiful birds flew down and perched on the branches of the trees right in front of us. The coatis took more time to visit but they really put on a show. We really didn’t know what to expect from a treehouse but the house was really comfy and the bed was high enough so we could see the trees while lying in bed. we had a brilliant time. Edwin gave us lots of good tips about where to eat and places to visit which we really appreciated. I would definitely recommend the experience.

It is a unique experience to spend two days with family in a large cabin on a farm with a very nice view. The cabin is well equipped and lighted, much better than other cabins we stayed in the US parks. We made breakfast from the supplies in the room. Host Jose is super friendly and helpful. In the evening when we arrived, I got my car stuck in the mud, and he and his mom helped to pull it out. I would suggest a 4WD SUV when visiting Monteverde. Highly recommended.

The rooms are very comfortable, clean and cute and offer their own balcony/patio amidst the flora of Monteverde. Hospitality is great at El Sol and Susanne is the proof of it. Last but not least the food at El Sol is delicious.
