Sun moon was a fabulous location not far from Bitung and right on the beach. The accommodation and communal spaces were of exceptional standard as was every meal. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming also great to spend time chatting with. Can’t recommend sunmoon enough and look forward to returning one day.,

We loved everything about our stay!.What a beautiful, secluded place. You hear nothing but the sea and the birds singing, as the next town is around 1km away. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Pombero lodge. We originally booked for 6 nights and kept extending our stay for a total of 3 weeks. The food prepared by Unu was so delicious.Different most days, always fantastic and plentiful. The bungalow is very clean and basic, and has everything you need, including a nice terrace with a hammock to enjoy the amazing seaview and simply relax. If you are lucky you might even see some dolphins passing by. A motorbike, to explore beautiful Tomia island with its friendly people, can be easily arranged for a good price. Great sunset view point at cafe K20 near the middle of the island. Snorkeling at the house reef was very enjoyable and at low tide you can walk along the beaches to reach even more reefs and a ww2 Japanese cargo ship (it's not so easy to notice as happily the coral has completely covered it). Edi can also arrange a boat for snorkel trips in the area. These we highly recommend, the captain was brilliant and we saw lots of fish, eagle rays,, massive bump heads and lots of turtles. Edi and Unu are absolutely wonderful people and amazing hosts. Always happy to help and give advice or just to have a little chat, but at the same time giving you all the privacy you need..They made our stay just perfect and unforgettable. We are truly going to miss them a lot! We feel so lucky being able to stay at this fantastic place!Its truly a paradise and we enjoyed every minute! Can't wait to return!

Awesome location, right on the beach surrounded my Mangrove. Lorenso’s cottage is so full of charm unrivalled my it’s neighbours. Lorenso himself is THE MAN of the island, if you’re looking to go diving, Lorenso’s uncle is the go to, if your looking for a bar Lorenso’s cousin knows, if you’re looking to remove a body, Lorenso knows someone. Lorenso himself (aka ‘Papa’) is well established in the No. 1 band in Bunaken soon to hit the international charts. Furthermore Lorenso is just an all round good bloke, gave me a cig when I was out, sorted transport for us, gave me his lighter when I lost mine, set up my friend with some French ladies (to no avail) and treated us like family.

Wonderful people who could not do enough to be helpful. We had a long stay and felt like family by the time we left. The Indonesian food in the restaurant is delicious and very reasonably priced. Complimentary coffee and tea are available all day with biscuits, krupuk and late-afternoon surprise snacks - a real plus when you have spent hours underwater. Comfortable loungers by the water and a large, cushioned balian for when it rains The diving from the hotel is world-class and our guide (Iwan) probably the best spotter I have ever dived with and really knows his macro photography. We were coming back with a lot of fabulous photos every day, many of species we had never seen before. The boats are comfortable and spacious, and as an older diver I felt well looked after, with lots of help gearing up and exiting the water. The dive sites are typically a 5-minute ride away, so there is often time to go back to your room and take a hot shower between dives. We hope to come back for more. Really appreciated the large number of plug sockets and USB points available in the room

A fantastic place to stay and explore the surroundings. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous. It’s beautifully situated at the river. The staff is extremely and will help you with organising trips and transport. All in all we had a wonderful time staying for a total of 4 nights.
