If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings and the lodge can arrange a car rental service. Nice bungalows near nature and park. I recommend also to take trip to jungle with Robin (Robinto Carlos;) and Dian. We spent 2 days/1 night with them, and it was amazing experience. Guides are very sympathetic and funny, also professional as well. They respected all rules for contact with Orangutans and other animals. Meals in jungle were very tasty with a lot of fruits. Our 10 years son was also very happy and spent great time, enjoying trip.

The tour was full of insights on the local flora and fauna, accompanied by well organised base camps and great food. We can do nothing but recommend this place! The trekking was tough but we had so much fun and saw many orangutans and other animals. Unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia! After the trekking we spent another night at the Garden Inn and did the village tour with Pindu, perfect way to learn more about the local community! He also let us make our own tempeh and gado gado, which was a lot of fun. If you are planning to visit Bukit Lawang, we would recommend to book everything with the Garden Inn team. Our guides and lodge staff members were absolutely amazing - made the stay and the jungle trek so much fun and took care of us so well. We asked for a little bit of an off-the-beaten-track trail and that is exactly what we got. The food during the trek was delicious - fresh fruit and amazing chicken and tofu dishes for dinner in the jungle. We saw so many monkeys and made really good friends during our stay. Also, the orangutan card game in the jungle left us all laughing into the night. Our hosts also arranged our transportation to and from bukit lawang so it was super easy for us. Absolutely perfect experience in the jungle, would recommend staying and trekking with this jungle lodge for an authentic experience with the best company.

We were treated like family at on the rocks, wawan and his team were so helpful and friendly that we instantly felt at home. I cannot recommend staying here enough. We did multiple treks with Wong and he was wonderful, so much information to share but also never even felt like he was a guide. Treks can be suited for your fitness level but you are almost guaranteed to see orangutans no matter where you go. The restaurant was also delicious.

Towels and bed linen are offered in the lodge. The homestay currently consists of three one-room cabins and a small house w/ a compact kitchen. It’s located in a quiet area away from the busy main road. The owner is a very kind elementary school teacher who lives near the homestay with his family. I stayed in one of the cabins and enjoyed the cleanliness, the hot water in the shower, the excellent WiFi, the exceptional view from the back porch, and the incredible hospitality of the whole family.

A water park is available on site and fishing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Small apartment with private bathroom and western shower. Balcony with Sea view. Only 10 meters to the Ocean (private beach). Free drinking water and hot water. It’s possible to buy coffee and small goods at the hostel. The owner is very kind. Bed is big and comfortable. Fan is enough to keep the room cool with open windows.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the lodge, while hiking and cycling can be enjoyed nearby. the staffs are great. they are very helpful. the location is great if you like nature. there is no aircon in the room, but we sleep comfortably. don't forget the insect repellant. it's nature after all. you can't avoid insects especially moquitoes.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and polite. I am actually so impress with Padang's people hospitality. They are so welcoming its makes me feel so bad😅😅. The room is nice and the environment is very peaceful. The food ia good. Tea and coffee served in the cafe is sooo good I forgot to ask and buy some to take home.
