The jungle around is spectacular, with many geckos, fireflies, and cicadas that we could hear and observe. Dewi and her team were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. They were preparing for us delicious, homemade food each day and helped to organize jungle trekking with guide and local transportation. We also met many wonderful people during our stay. It felt as if all the guests were not strangers to one another, but good neighbors and companions. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. A huge recommendation for all nature lovers!

I came to Sanda from Lovina, crossing winding mountain roads in the rain. Despite reading many reviews before booking, and being inspired by one in particular to stay for three nights, I still felt a bit uncertain during the journey. But the moment I arrived, those worries faded. Here, I felt once again the purest form of human trust. Even without speaking the same language, deep connection was possible—through a gesture, a glance, a shared smile. The atmosphere is incredibly calming, and the food gave me real energy, not just physically but emotionally. To be honest, I find it hard to put this experience fully into words. Sanda feels different from anywhere else in Bali. This is not a place for passive tourism—it gently asks something of you too. If you're looking for a space to be still, to read, to think, to meditate, or to unplug from social media and constant feedback, this is a rare and beautiful choice. I spent three days here reading and reflecting, allowing my life to pause. My conversations with Harry gave me a deeper understanding of plants—their fruits, their rhythms, their stories. December is durian season, and I know I will return. Time spent here feels like a gift. I hope you give yourself one too.

UmaUthu Bali ligt op 31 km van Pura Tanah Lot en biedt een buitenzwembad en een tuin. De accommodaties hebben airconditioning, een terras en gratis WiFi. Het was echt een paradijsje. Je kunt de rijstvelden van Jatiluwih overslaan want hier ligt het voor je deur. In de avond heel rustig, alleen de nachtdieren en de vuurvliegjes. Het echtpaar wat er werkt is zo lief en halen en brengen je met de scooter. Het tuben op zo’n band is maar op een paar minuutjes afstand.

Stunning views of stream, ponds, rice fields and nearby waterfalls. The Buddha bungalow suited me perfectly. Particularly adored the fish ponds & garden tour, complete with swing! Suksma! 🧡

I loved the location up in the mountains, really beautiful, quiet, clean air etc. Located at a family farm with lots of fruit trees and coffee. Pusman and his wife were great, very kind. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting some a little peace.
