The room had all the amenities I would need to just bunk in and avoid eating out if I wanted to. Supermarket was a short drive away. The Unesco World Heritage area was just a short walk away. Lawson as well as a few restaurants were also a short walk away. Highly recomended to base out off in Nikko for a hiking trip...

Our accommodation was a semi-detached house in a group of two, with a living room, bathroom, and kitchen on the ground floor, and two bedrooms on the first floor, all with nice wooden floors. There is plenty of space inside, plus a lovely terrace and a small garden outside. The house is located on a hill with a view of the valley. The driveway to the upper houses is steep and includes a 180-degree turn. We stayed there for two nights and really enjoyed it. Check-in was contactless and easy. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is also a washing machine and dryer, which are perfect for longer stays. All in all, it’s a very nice accommodation surrounded by nature that invites you to stay longer.

Set among Nikko’s peaceful forests and mountains, Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side offers homely accommodation with free Wi-Fi just steps from hiking trails. Ken and Sei were amazing hosts. Extremely warm atmosphere nestled amongst the trees and mountains of Nikko. I enjoyed hiking in the morning by the river and caught the bus to the Kegon waterfalls. The shogun temple was beautiful.
