The property itself was wonderful, had everything we needed and felt like home. Our trip was focused on taking advantage of Aso's beautiful nature and the cottage's location allowed us to do this. It was also great to know that there was a large bath to use after the hike to soak our tired legs!

We enjoyed a private onsen before an outstanding multi-course Japanese/French dinner. One of the best meals of our trip. This was followed with the host treating guests to star/planet viewing in his observatory. The room was simple but very spacious and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained with a beautiful and peaceful view. It felt like a destination on its own right and it is very convenient for visiting several nearby national parks. With google translate it was very easy to communicate with the host. Our stay was a very special experience and is a highly recommended stay in central Kyushu.
