One of the highlights of our trip was witnessing the Northern Lights for two consecutive nights—a breathtaking display we’ll never forget. Adding to the magic, we spotted two wild moose during our stay, a surreal moment that truly connected us to the untamed beauty of the area. A special thanks to Thomas, the owner, whose kindness and attention to detail made our experience even more memorable. He helped us find exciting activities and ensured we felt welcome every step of the way. The setting of the campsite is beyond words—raw, wild, and incredibly beautiful. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and experience the wonders of the Arctic, this is the place to be. Guests at Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge can enjoy a buffet breakfast. It felt like an elite hotel in the Alps. Everything was top quality - food, room, surroundings. Dinner was a piece of art. Comfy slippers helped to enforce the cosy vibes. Plenty of general areas (lounge etc) for pleasant chilling and wonderful views from outside. I visited during the summer and seriously consider coming back during winter.

Staying at Holmen Husky is an experience far away from staying at an ordinary hotel. We want our guests to get closer to nature and to get a taste of what it is like to live close to the elements.

Holmen Husky is a small, family-run business who has been working with dogs since the 80s. Some of us have even grown up in the dogyard and on the sled. It is much more than an activity or an experience that has got us all addicted. it’s a feeling that must be experienced. Everything was over my expectations. The lodge is beautiful, exactly like in the pictures, the dogs are cute, the staff very friendly.

10 km from Alta City and 500 metres from Alta River lies Trasti & Trine Boutique Hotel. Surrounded by forest, the location offers good hiking, skiing and biking trails straight from the cottage door.
