The Amazon Muyuna Lodge is an ecolodge in the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Reserve , situated on the Amazon River shore, 3 hours from the centre of Iquitos. It offers full board and a range of river and jungle excursions. Away from everything, on a reserve , great guide Cesar! We got to see wild life at its own habitat, trips at night were amazing! We got to swim where some pink dolphins (boto) was jump around. Felt very safe, slept very well, food was good. The staff were great and very helpful! The company let you keep your bags at their agency before flight some you get to see Iquitos for a few hours. Amazing trip, very memorable.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy fishing and canoeing nearby, or make the most of the garden. My guide Larry met me at the airport and we travelled to the lodge. Although it was 3 hours time went fast watching the landscape go by. It was dry season for my visit so unfortunately the river way very low and the lodge was not on the river as per photographed on booking. I do wish this was explained. Otherwise i had an amazing 5 days. The accommodation was clean, the food was ok. It was different everyday but simple. My guide Larry was exceptional. His knowledge of the jungle, outstanding, and his English was perfect. We made a plan on arriving for what it would like to do in my time. Highlight was the caiman night tour and lily pads.

An American breakfast is available at the lodge. WOW! What an experience. Staff and guides fantastic. It's not the most luxurious 5* nor the most basic. Has a/c in the rooms. So grateful for that after long sweaty active days. Food is hearty and homemade. GO, you wont regret it!

The lodge offers a continental or American breakfast. Staff was extremely warm, welcoming and accommodating. The canopy/zipline course is fantastic. Food was delicious with good portions. Everything was very clean and comfortable.
