The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

Quiet and cosy stay in the lapland.  It's equipped with a great wood sauna.  Breakfast was nice at their teepee style lodge.  We also had free access to the nearby Sami museum in Jukkasjärvi, which was very interesting and informative.

Great experience of escaping from the city and being among nature. Stefan is a great host! We also took a snowmobile tour and enjoyed winter activities. Also, from the house along the lake you can walk in an hour to the ice hotel, and along the way you can enjoy the snow, mountains, forest and beautiful views. I hope that we will return to Camp Caroli once again to see the northern lights again and live this experience away from the city alone with nature.

Το Aurora Camp Kurravaara περιβάλλεται από δάσος και βρίσκεται ακριβώς δίπλα στον ποταμό Torne, 13χλμ. από το αεροδρόμιο Kiruna. Οι εγκαταστάσεις περιλαμβάνουν σάουνα και επιπλωμένη βεράντα. One of the best places we've ever stayed. Main disclaimer is you absolutely need a car to stay here. If you are not renting a car, stay closer to town. We had a car and intentionally booked a place outside of town that would give us greater visibility of the aurora. The location of this property is unlike any other. You can go on hikes to see the lights at all hours of the night and you get 360 degree views of the sky if you walk out onto the lake. The wilderness left cabin was equipped with everything we could ever need. Warm, comfortable beds, great shower facility and best of all was our private sauna. The staff was extremely helpful when we struggled making a fire for the sauna. I would recommend this property to anyone and hope to return someday!
