A terrace can be found at the lodge, along with a shared lounge. We loved the location. Getting out of our room and being already on the beach is the best. Also we had a small patio with chairs and table outside of our room which was so comfortable to have if we wanted to sit outside and just talk and listen to the waves. There we had a little pond with water to wash the sand off our feet before getting inside which was so nice to have. More than a room we had like a small apartment with an entrance, a sofa, different places to hang our clothes and the bedroom had two beds. We had so much space, even the bathroom was spacious and everything worked nicely. We loved having a full mirror, small detail but so useful. We also had a small fridge. The restaurant was nice, and the breakfast offer as well. We liked having sunbeds beachfront, but inside the hotel area where beachboys and masaai couldn't get in. They could be very persistent and annoying and follow you for miles until you get in hotel area, which was delimited by a very nice swing. We loved our rooom, we wish we could have stayed more! The location, the size, everything was perfect.

The outdoor areas were equally stunning—the beach, flowers, and the private little pool made for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Safety was never a concern; we felt secure throughout our entire stay. Any requests we had were handled quickly and efficiently by the staff. Overall, it was a perfect stay, and we would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a unique and luxurious getaway.

The building is a wonder and itself worth the visit. Joyce and her team were so attentive, personable, and helpful and family-style meals were excellent. Utupoa sits directly on the beach and easily reachable by foot from the village of Matemwe. What a wonderful way for our family to get to know a corner of Zanzibar and to unwind from our adventures. I have been to many accommodations in Zanzibar, but this one was truly the most special experience for me. The peace and positive vibes I experienced there brought back 5 years of my life. The house is in a wonderful location, surrounded by dense vegetation, so you will feel a healing peace there during your entire stay. The bungalows are spacious and perfectly clean, the beds are large and comfortable, the view is stunning. The food deserves a Michelin star, the offer is varied, the ingredients are fresh every day, the portions are very generous, certainly above the price. The owner and all the staff are very accommodating, kind and ready to dedicate themselves to each guest to make them feel at home. My special thanks go to the hostess Suzy , whose helpfulness and kindness go beyond the limit and who made our stay even more beautiful. If you are planning to visit Zanzibar, do not make the mistake of not visiting this special piece of paradise. Thank you all, even though we left, a piece of my heart remained there 💓
