We stayed here 2 nights and honestly wished we extended our stay. If you’re visiting Cat Ba Island, absolutely stay here.

The location was perfect for us to explore the village on a scooter/motorbike (which they have available for rent). It's in a quiet neighborhood on a hill, which is located in hidden valley. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful with an abundance of flowering plants, and jackfruit trees that make the property feel like an eco-resort. The staff works tirelessly to keep everything in perfect condition - everyone seemed to be working around the clock. The included breakfast was very good — with a choice of a beverage and a choice of food and always served with a plate of fresh fruit. We also enjoyed a couple of other meals there and everything we ordered was delicious. Most of all our host, Mr. Chilly was everything you could ask for in a great host. He was super-friendly and assisted us with anything we needed from providing suggestions for things to do in Cat Ba to arranging travel for us back to our Hanoi . We would highly recommend Lan Homestay and will stay here again next time we come to Cat Ba.

They went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay — not only at Eco Lodge but on the island of Cat Ba. The lodge has great recs about restaurants, scooters to rent, and is near a lake and the national park. Additionally, I loved CG’s dogs! Highly recommend this beautiful oasis as a place to get to know Cat Ba and other travelers. Would 10/10 stay here again and/or recommend to friends/family.
