They’ve done a fantastic job with the family lodge we stayed at. Simple, modern decor with a gorgeous garden and easy access to the river. Couldn’t recommend more.

The tents are so luxurious and the views from each one are very special. Opening all the windows created an amazing view that was so relaxing and brings nature into the tent. (Windows are mosquito safe so no problems there). The best experience ever. Mike and Mariejke are one of the best hosts I have experienced. True down to earth hospitality. We certainly made new friends with them. Booking the evening meal is a must! Mariejke is an amazing cook and Mike a Braai master! The food was just delicious. Such great value for money and the atmosphere in the evening was super. The friendliest people and they gave great tips for travellers. They recommended the Walking Giraffe safari on the neighbouring property and was an experience you won't forget. All in all this was wonderful and will be going back anytime I am in the Eastern Cape. You cannot go wrong staying there. Perfect location for Addo Elephant Park which was not far away. We stayed 3 nights but would have stayed longer if we had known how incredible it was. We made some lovey memories there.

We loved everything about the property, the staff and of course, the game!! Peter and Ingrid were the perfect hosts and Beauty, Nina and Tamara were the perfect restaurant staff, with the very best food!! I

Port Elizabeth is 35 km from Charihandra Game Lodge, whereas Addo is 19.4 km away. Great forthcoming staff, helped us book/ plan activities. We had a tent room which was super cool and luxurious! Only one night of poor sleep due to lots of wind, which is to be expected in a tent

We had a fabulous stay at the lodge, food was amazing, staff super friendly , can only recommend this lodge highly

Offering panoramic views of the Zuurberg Mountain Range, Camp Figtree by The Oyster Collection features a variety of game drives, safaris and game walks. There is also an infinity pool and a restaurant.

The lodge offers game drives through Addo National Park, game walks on the property and guided sundowner walks. This was an incredible stay — everything from the view to the tent to the staff to the food was impeccable in every way. The only downside is that we feel like we’ve been spoiled and the rest of our trip simply can’t compare. Special shout out to Norma for her amazing safari drive and Lars for the bush walk — but really the entire staff deserves high marks!

Chrislin African Lodge is a peaceful site with outdoor lounge areas, gardens, and a citrus farm. Guests can enjoy South African recipes in onsite dining lapa.

Each spacious hut at Chrislin Lodge comes with private bathroom facilities, a fridge and a ceiling fan. Larger huts also come with air conditioning and a seating area. We had a lovely time at Chrislin. The bed was comfy and the water hot. It did get a little chilly in the room but there was a small heater provided which was appreciated. The grounds were really lovely, and the food was great. Nice and close to the addo main gate for our drive home after night safari.

The Lodge is situated on a private game reserve, which boasts over 17 species of wild game animals, including a large family of giraffes. Safaris and day trips can be arranged.

Valley Bushveld Country Lodge serves authentic South African cuisine. During cold winter evenings, guests can enjoy a drink in the lounge with a huge fireplace. This is a lovely lodge that has a safari theme and is dedicated to giraffe game drives: do not miss this! They do not have wild animals so you can get off the safari vehicle and walk next to the giraffes!! That was such a highlight! The room was as advertised and the dinner we booked was very nourishing and good: but the giraffe drive was amazing!

Situated on a secluded eco-reserve, Hitgeheim Country Lodge is an owner-managed lodge offering daily open safari vehicle drives into the Addo Elephant National Park where guests may experience viewing a variety of animal and elephants. The rooms were beautiful. Clean and housekeeping comes every day. The grounds are beautiful and it’s so peaceful. The location on a hilltop makes for stunning views. The food is delicious. They cater to you as guests in every aspect. They even turn your bed down prior to you going to sleep. The staff are friendly and personable. The games drives are excellent and the drivers, Saul and Johann are very knowledgeable.
